Have you ever had the sinking realisation. The sinking realisation that your mother named you after a cyborg superhero with a stupid insectoid helmet that rides a motorbike?

It all adds up. The character was considered a teenage heart-throb right around the time my mother was a young impressionable teen.

Names like 'Peter' Can be vaguely forgiven . . .

Though if you call him Benjamin Bunny - That's just wrong. It provokes all kinds of wrong images that involve furry parents with furry kids doing furry *shudder* things.

I used to think mine came from the popularity of the name at the time because of the series Bewitched. It was terrible to think i was indirectly named after that obsequious, snivelling doormat of a character (no matter how appropriate it might be). Just recently i found out from my mum that i was actually named after an actor in some noir detective series at the time.

Now if i could just remember his last name (or to ask my mum again) i could look him up.
