I used to think mine came from the popularity of the name at the time because of the series Bewitched. It was terrible to think i was indirectly named after that obsequious, snivelling doormat of a character (no matter how appropriate it might be). Just recently i found out from my mum that i was actually named after an actor in some noir detective series at the time.
Now if i could just remember his last name (or to ask my mum again) i could look him up.
