I haven't waded too deeply into the fandom yet, but from the response I've seen to GitF, well . . . I know from scary fandoms, and it's never good to get involved when there's a huge dust-up. :)

Anyway, I'm so very, very glad you enjoyed the story. It just made my day.

Yes, poor strawberries. I have no idea where that came from, but suddenly I was all, yes, the Doctor likes to use a lot of jam. Poor, poor strawberries that had to die to make the Doctor's jam. *g*

Oh. Oh. Oh. It's so perfect! *sniffles* I love it so much, I can't even begin!

"I'm not afraid of you," she says. The Doctor squeezes her hand. "I'm afraid of being without you. Because - I'm not clever enough, or rich enough, or beautiful enough. That I'm - not enough, and once you find someone who is, that'll be it for stupid, silly Rose, London shopgirl."

The Doctor takes a breath, but a squeeze from Rose's fingers stop his words. "Please don't say you wouldn't do that. Please. You already have."

You just know that's exactly what she was thinking. That please bit just breaks my heart. And then she turns his words back on him, but in a good way and then he kisses her. *dreamy sigh* Lovely. Just so lovely.

Awww, kissing. I didn't know that was gonna happen until it did, and then I was like, "Oh. So *that's* where this is going. Now it makes sense." *g*
