Heh. I have a feeling the prop-people doing the rooms thought more about making an environment specific to each character, rather than what is realistic in terms of personal items etc (they all seem to have brought plenty of personal items, after all...). It does make sense that they would have changed rooms after a while. And I suppose the trip to Earth and the Daedalus can explain some of those plants (or do they pick them off-world? On the mainland? It would be weird to carry plants on the ship). But still. I was a little annoyed with Kate's room(s). It was all so very convenient.
Those blocks. Could it be that Sheppard & Ford just can't be bothered with curtains? And they just want to block out the sun, somehow. It's not like they spend time in their rooms apart from sleeping, I imagine.
I suppose SGA isn't a show one should expect to make perfect sense...
Hee, I edited the post to add that I'm a nerd when it comes to plot/prop continuity. I notice things and need them explained, or I'll just keep asking questions.
Katie's plants bug me. Cadman made a note to mention that Katie's never been off world, so McKay should bring her some flowers, which clearly can be explained as Cadman wanting McKay to do something nice for Kaite. But then we see Katie's place and it's filled (!) with plants. If she's never been off Atlantis, then where the heck did all the plants come from? The mainland is an obvious and easy answer, but in 'Runner' isn't that a botanist at the beginning? Ahhh! It's just bugging me.
re: blocks. Hmm, yeah I can see that. The soilders are the ones to go make sure Atlantis is safe, so they probably aren't in their rooms as much. But then, as you can see with Rodney (and possibly Zelenka), they don't spend much time in their quarters either, always in the lab.
Heh, see I told you ask too many questions. I should just stop and go to bed. :)
oh and another thing, i'm going to post a 50mb file to stargate_eps, so could you monitor the bandwidth and let me know if/when i need to take it down? also, if i don't respond fast enough, feel free to rename/delete. i'll do a YSI mirror to be on the safe side. ps - note ghetto booty on mckay. whoa.
