I've read these, all of which were good: -Two to the Fifth by Piers Anthony (not bad) -Foundation by Mercedes Lackey (which wasn't as good as i expected from her, but decent) -Tracing the Shadow by Sarah Ash (read Lord of Snow and Shadows by her too, great!) -Ninth Grade Slays by Heather Brewer (more for young kids, but pretty good nonetheless) -Little brother: Cory Doctorow (also more for a younger age group, but still good, and true for most of the compnfo)
I've read everything Lackey has ever published, with or without other authors, and I prefer the Velgarth's. Valdemar/Karse, especially. You have good taste, try reading the Mercy Thompson series. http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_Called
