Notes: Back early, babes. With a new chapter. ;D

My Sunday was uneventful. Except for the small encounter I had with my father where he basically apologized for being a douche and then expected me to be his new best friend.

Yeah, fucking, right.

---

I was really nervous for Monday. I mean, I don't feel like I should be, but if I get to hang out with Kris again today, then this is going to be an amazing day.

I got up earlier then usual, just a little after my father left, to get ready for school. I couldn't sleep anyway and it would be a waste of time to just sit in bed and wait around for my alarm to go off. Getting ready didn't take as long as I thought it would. I had showered and gone through my usual make up and hair routine in record time, which gave me the rare opportunity to make food.

I stuck to the basics, cereal. It's easy and I can't trust myself with anything sharper then a butter knife or something that deals with fire. I'm definitely better off sticking to something that involves neither sharp objects nor a flame. I’d like my house not burnt, thanks.

The ride to school was long and torturous, because I had this sick suspicion that Kris was going to park in the spot next to mine again, and that would give me a reason to talk to him this morning. Though, I have a feeling we're going to hang out again at lunch, because I can't bring myself not to ask him again. Now that I got that little bit of contact with him, I can't bring myself to let it go. Not for the world.

Of course he was parked in the spot next to mine in that silly little truck of his, but what got to me the most was his plain black shirt, ripped jeans, and the way he was leaning against that truck of his. Damn, he could be a Calvin Klein model.

I cut the engine and grabbed everything I needed before I shut the door, bag on my back, and locked up my beauty. Kris pushed off his truck then, bag hanging off his shoulder and walked to stand by my side. I stared; not sure if I should move. That is, until he gave me that breath taking smile and I returned it. "Walking me to class, are you?" I asked playfully and he shrugged before bumping into my shoulder and turning toward the school. I quickly followed.

The walk was silent, but Kris made sure that we were walking right next to each other, our hands or arms bumping into each other every once in a while. I looked down at him at one point and he was staring back up at me. His eyes holding an emotion I hadn't seen on his face before.

Before I had a chance to determine what that emotion was, we were at my class. How'd he even know what class I had first period? Then my mind went completely blank.

Kristopher Neil Allen had his arms rapped around my waist pulling me into a hug. I had to use the door frame as a balance as to not fall over from both my shock and his pull. When I was positive I wasn't going to fall I brought my arms around him too and gave him a tight squeeze, but he didn't let go. I held on as long as he did.

About a minute or so later, he pulled away and his face was flushed. I had the urge to reach out and guide my fingers down the blush that started at the base of his cheekbone and disappeared under the collar of his shirt, but then the bell rang. He gave me a smile before disappearing down the hallway at a very quick pace.

What the hell am I supposed to make of that?

---

Classes went by fast. My head was clouded with everything Kris and my teachers were pissed. One of them was even concerned enough to ask if I was okay and if I needed to go to the nurses office. I almost took her up on her offer but realized I have no good excuse for going except for love sickness.

I didn't even know it was lunch until I left my fourth period class room and Kris was standing, more like leaning on the wall, outside of the room. I froze and gawked. I was shocked when he let out a laugh and I smiled at him. "May I ask why you're here?" I inquired and he shook his head yes. "Well, then... Why are you here?" I asked playfully and he smiled before turning and walking in the opposite direction of the rejects bin. I stared and he turned around when he realized I wasn't following and ushered me to come after him.

---

After a very uncomfortable walk to the front of the school where he pulled his guitar out of the back of his truck, I found myself in the front lawn underneath a large tree, sitting across from Kris. He was playing a soft tune that I couldn't recognize.

He looked up at me expectantly. Like I should know that the song is and I shook my head; earning a frown from the brunette. "Sorry." I whispered and he sighed. Trying to figure out a way to tell me, I guess. Then he pulled an iPod out from his pocket and patted the grass next to him, gesturing for me to scoot closer. Don't need to ask me twice. He handed me an ear bud and I slid it in carefully and waited for the music to start. The song "Come Together" by The Beatles came on and I smirked and nodded; finally being able to pinpoint the song.

The lunch bell rang all too soon and I sighed sadly. Kris just pulled the ear bud from my ear and put his hand on my shoulder as a way to stand up.

I walked him back to his truck and I gave him a warm smile when he turned back to me after putting his guitar in the back of his car. He did the same and rapped his arms around my waist just as before, but this time he nuzzled his nose into the base of my neck where it met my shoulder. And it was over as quickly as it started.

"Bye Adam," a clear cut voice rang and I saw his mouth move, but I couldn't match them. I know my jaw dropped. He brought his right hand up underneath my chin and pushed it closed again before running his thumb along my bottom lip. I kissed it out of habit. He shivered.

"Um," I said; his hand still on my face. "Bye Kris," I said before lightly grabbing his wrist and intertwining our fingers carefully. He smiled and nodded, not making an attempt to pull away.

Then the tardy bell rung out and I dropped my head dramatically. "Have a phone?" I asked cautiously and his face lit up. He shook his head yes and reached into his bag for a pen, our hands still clasped. He released my hand before writing his ten digit number on my hand. I looked at it and smiled. When I looked up again Kris had passed me and turned toward the building that his next class was located in; a different kind of swagger now in his steps.

I sighed and waited for him to disappear before I remembered that I have a class to get to as well and booked it for the math wing.
