Welcome and General Information
Welcome to kradam_kiss! This is an episodic community for posting fic and art featuring kisses between Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. The comm will open for kisses on a periodic basis, usually about every 2-3 months, and be open for kisses for about ten days. The closing day/time will be announced in advance, so you can plan your kisses wisely.
This comm is modeled after the wonderful and successful McSmooch, founded and run by the lovely and talented sheafrotherdon, with her permission. Many of the ideas for the rules and how it is run, as well as the idea itself, are hers. <333
So, kisses. The thing is, there are lots of kinds of kisses. There are kisses of friendship, of caring, kisses for luck or solidarity, kisses of betrayal or sadness. There are romantic kisses, the kind lovers exchange. They can be slow or fast, sweet or hot, angry or sorrowful. There are kisses of support, of goodbye, of promise. Kisses can be violent and intense or kisses of peacemaking. They can live only in a character's imagination, or be the most physical act imaginable. Many kisses are on mouths, but they can be other places as well, whether the top of someone's head or, well, I'll leave that to your imagination!
In this case -- Adam and Kris -- we can imagine so many types of kisses, and all are welcome here, whether friendshippy or slashy. We've all missed seeing Adam and Kris together, so let's make it happen here...
So come one, come all, to the inaugural festival of Kradam_Kissing at our new kissing comm, Kradam_Kiss! This round of kissing will run from approximately October 9 - 20: the mod will make an announcement when the fest opens, and you can start posting fic and art at that point -- Yay for kissing, kissing, kissing! (And yay! for uncluttered friends lists: since the comm goes dark most of the time, joining the comm won't spam your list except for during brief interludes)(p.s., the comm is currently set up so non-members may read and comment also, but anonymous comments will be screened).
So Let's Talk About The Rules
1. Festivals of Kissing will occur periodically - the mods will post the start and end date. Please don't post kisses here at other times!
2. 1 kiss per entry, please! If you have multiple entries, please put them in separate posts. Only one entry per day, please, from any one poster (check with comm mod if you have a special situation :)... we don't want to discourage kisses!)
3. Please post all kisses to the comm, rather than linking back to a journal. When the fest is over for that period, you may then post the fic anywhere you wish! During the course of the fest, if you wish people to read your fic, simply post a link to this comm on your journal, and that way everyone can see your fic. (There are multiple reasons for this rule, but the most important one is, this is meant to be a fun, supportive, squeeful community, in which we share the joy of Kradam kisses for about two weeks, together).
4. Put all kisses over 150 words (include header information in the word count) behind a cut. Feel free to post any length fic you want: if it's beyond one post's word limit (yay!), add a second post.
5. Art of all kinds encouraged!
6. New fic and art only, please; we're trying to generate new fanworks, yay! (You may post fic or art commissioned in charity events, so long as it is new and you and your donor comply with the rules of this fest).
7. Please rate your kiss. We've seen kisses that are G and kisses that are smokin' NC-17, and all are welcome here. Just please indicate a rating.
8. Please use standard warnings if they apply, and exercise kindness in considering whether anything in your story/art might require one.
9. Your fic or art must include at least one kiss, of any kind, between Adam and Kris. You may exercise creativity in interpreting this requirement! :)
10. Please indicate whether the fic is gen/friendship or slash, and indicate any other pairings represented in the fic, as a courtesy to those who like that information.
11. The blanket disclaimer for works in this comm means you don't have to post a disclaimer, yay!
12. The mod will provide author/artist tags for contributors the first time they past; after that, please tag with your author/artist tag.
