January 29th, 2012

Adam Lambert walked into the greenhouse, removed his sunglasses, and took a deep breath. It was his thirtieth birthday and he was feeling a little overwhelmed with his life at the moment. He was an international superstar who had just finished his second world tour. He loved making music and being a celebrity. He just needed a break sometimes.

It was hard for Adam to go out in public. He was easily recognized. He had discovered this greenhouse before his second tour. He loved to go there and just look at all the flowers and other plants. He had discovered that no one expected to see Adam Lambert at a greenhouse, so he was never recognized. Sometimes, he spent hours roaming around the place.

When Adam had woken up this morning, he had felt a little depressed. He was turning thirty. He was successful professionally. He had amazing friends and family. However, he didn't have anyone to share his life with. He was a hopeless romantic, but he could never make a relationship work. His last relationship with Sauli had ended months ago. Despite their feelings for one another, they were from different worlds and long distance just didn't work and neither of them was willing to give up their life for the other.

Adam's first stop at the greenhouse was always the exotic plants. They were pretty and colorful. He smiled as he looked at them. He reached out and touched some of the petals.

"Can I help you with something?" A man asked from beside him.

"I'm just looking." Adam responded as he turned to look at the man.

Adam smiled brightly when he saw him. He was shorter than him with brown hair. He had a crooked smile and a southern drawl. He was exactly his type.

"I'm Kris. Let me know if I can help you with anything." Kris told him as he smiled and walked away.

Adam smiled back and continued to browse. A half hour later, he found himself sitting on a bench outside the greenhouse. It was something new that they had done since the last time he was here. Out back, they had planted a beautiful garden that had benches and fountains.

As Adam took everything in, he felt a few tears in his eyes. He didn't know why he was crying. He just longed to be sitting there with someone. He wanted to be in love.

"Are you okay?" Kris inquired as he sat beside Adam on the bench.

"I'm fine." Adam replied unconvincingly. Tears were streaming down his face.

"You don't look fine." Kris stated as he reached over and placed his hand on Adam's shoulder.

"Today's my birthday." Adam told him as if that explained why he was upset.

"Oh." Kris responded not sure what else to say.

"I don't know why I'm crying. I have a good life…An excellent life actually. Living my dream. I have good friends and family. They're throwing me a birthday party tonight, but I was just sad today." Adam spilled to the stranger.

"Everyone gets sad sometimes." Kris declared with a smile at Adam.

"I'm sorry about all of this." Adam apologized.

"Don't worry about it." Kris told him as he withdrew his hand.

"This garden is beautiful. It wasn't here the last time I was here." Adam spoke to make conversation in the awkwardness that had surrounded them.

"Thanks. I designed it. I just started working here a few months ago. I design gardens on the side. The owner let me set up something out here. It brings in business for her and for me." Kris explained with a smile as he surveyed his work.

"Well, it's great. I just moved into a new place. I'd love to have something like this in my yard." Adam replied.

Kris reached into his pocket and produced a business card.

"Give me a call sometime, if you want." Kris stated as he handed him the card.

"I will." Adam responded with a smile as he took the card.

Kris and Adam sat there for a few minutes. They stared at each other and smiled.

"I should be going." Adam declared as he stood up.

"You didn't get anything." Kris spoke.

"I never do when I come in here. I'm hopeless with plants. I always kill them, so I just come here and look at them." Adam explained with a laugh.

"You just have to know how to take care of them. Come with me. I know the perfect thing for you." Kris replied as he took Adam's hand and led him back inside.

Kris led him over to the cactuses. He smiled at Adam when they stopped in front of them. Adam smiled back.

"They are very low maintenance. You only need to water them when the soil gets completely dry. It should be every couple of weeks. They need fertilized every once in awhile. I can give you some time release capsules for that. You need to put it in bright light…southern facing windows are the best. Do you think you can handle all of that?" Kris questioned.

"It sounds easy enough. I guess I'll give it a try." Adam responded.

"Good." Kris replied with a smile.

Adam and Kris looked at the plants. Kris helped him pick out a good one. When Adam finished selecting, they went up front so Kris could get him the fertilizer. He explained to Adam one more time about the proper care for a cactus.

"Thanks. How much do I owe you?" Adam inquired as he reached for his wallet.

"Not a penny. It's on the house. Happy birthday, Adam." Kris said with a smile and a wink.

Adam stood in shock for a moment. He couldn't believe that he was getting a present from a stranger. He was also surprised that Kris knew his name. He knew that he hadn't told him. It meant that he recognized him, but he hadn't acted like other people did when they recognized Adam. They usually freaked out or asked for something. Kris had treated him completely normal.

"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." Kris whispered when he saw the concern and worry about being recognized.

"Thanks." Adam responded with a smile as he gathered his things and left the greenhouse.

January 31st, 2012

Adam had debated with himself about calling Kris. He thought Kris was attractive and nice. However, he didn't even know if he was gay. He wanted to call and talk to him, but he didn't want to be too forward.

When Adam couldn't take it any longer, he decided he would call Kris and talk to him about a garden. It was the reason that Kris had given him his number in the first place. Besides, Adam really did want to have a garden out back.

"Hello." Kris mumbled somewhat sleepily into the phone when he answered.

"Hi. I'm so sorry. Did I wake you?" Adam asked as he looked at the time.

It was ten o'clock on a Tuesday morning. He figured that Kris would be up by now.

"It's okay. Is this Adam?" Kris asked sounding more alert.

"Yeah." Adam replied.

"I was hoping you'd call." Kris responded. Adam could hear the smile in his voice.

"You were?" Adam asked in astonishment.

Adam thought that Kris was interested. After a moment, he realized that Kris had probably just been hoping he'd call so that he'd get a job.

"Yeah…I was…" Kris started to say.

"I was just calling to see if you'd design a garden for me." Adam spoke hurriedly.

"Oh…Um…Yeah that sounds good." Kris replied. Adam thought he heard a little disappointment in his voice. "I could come and look at the space and we could talk about what you want."

"Okay…When?" Adam inquired.

"I'm off from the greenhouse on Friday." Kris answered.

"I can't on Friday. I have a…" Adam started to say.

He almost finished with telling Kris that he had a blind date that he had been set up on by his friend a few weeks ago. He hated blind dates and he didn't want to go, but he couldn't back out now.

"Something else to do." Adam finished lamely.

"Shit! That's right. I do too actually. How about Saturday? I work until noon at the greenhouse. I could stop by afterwards if that works for you." Kris suggested.

"Saturday will be fine. I'll text you my address." Adam told him.

"Okay. I'll see you Saturday then." Kris replied.

"See you Saturday." Adam responded before hanging up.

For the next hour, Adam replayed the conversation over and over in his head. He analyzed everything that Kris had said. He really thought that Kris was interested in him. It made him not want to go on the blind date even more.

Finally, Adam resolved that he would go on the date. He didn't think he'd have a good time though. He'd spend a few hours with the guy and then let him down easily. On Saturday, when Kris came over, he'd ask him out.

February 3rd, 2012

On Friday, Adam headed to the dog park where he was meeting his blind date. He thought that it was a strange place for them to meet. He didn't have a dog. He assumed that the guy did. He was kind of glad that they were meeting somewhere off the beaten path. He didn't think that he'd get recognized at a dog park

Adam didn't know who he was looking for. All that Ali had told him was that the guy was shorter than him and had brown hair. He had a golden Labrador retriever named Lucy.

As Adam entered the park, he scanned the area for his date. He saw a few guys that meet the description but they didn't have golden labs. He saw a few golden labs, but their owners didn't match the description. He was about to give up when he spotted a golden lab pulling her short, brown haired, southern owner into the park. He stopped dead in his tracks.

"Kris?" Adam asked as he approached him. Kris was the last person that he was expecting to see.

"Hey, Adam." Kris responded with a smile.

He was here to meet a blind date and suddenly he hoped that his date was Adam. They only things he knew about his date were that he was taller than him with black hair and no dog. When he found out that his date didn't have a dog, he thought that a dog park was a weird place to meet. However, his friend Ali had insisted that it was the perfect place.

As soon as the two men were close to one another, Kris' dog began to pull on her leash. She was trying to get closer to Adam. Adam smiled at Kris and bent down to pet the dog. She nuzzled closer to Adam.

"She's beautiful. What's her name?" Adam inquired as he scratched her head. He hoped that it was Lucy.

"Lucy." Kris answered with a smile of his own. He crouched down and ran his hand over Lucy's back.

Adam started laughing. Kris looked at him questioningly.

"I'm sorry." Adam giggled. "It's just funny how things work out sometimes. When I called you the other day, I really wanted to ask you out, but I knew that I had this blind date coming up. I wanted to wait until after the date…after I'd let the guy down easily to ask you."

"I was hoping that you'd ask me out when you called. I'm glad that I came now. I was totally going to stand my blind date up. I hate blind dates in the first place, but I was really dreading this one because I like you so much." Kris rambled.

Kris stopped talking the moment that he realized that he had just admitted how much he liked Adam. He looked at Adam with worry on his face. Adam smiled brightly at him.

"I like you too." Adam whispered.

Lucy started pulling on her leash and whining. Kris smiled and stood up. Adam did the same. They walked over the grassy area in silence. Kris unhooked Lucy. She took off running, but didn't stray far from her owner.

"How do you know Ali anyway?" Adam inquired as they took a seat on a bench.

"I did some work for her boyfriend's parents. I met her at their house one day. After talking to her for about five minutes, she declared that she knew someone perfect for me. I tried to get out of it. I thought she wanted to set me up with a girl. Anyway, then she told me that it was a guy. I still really wasn't that interested. I don't like blind dates and to be set up by someone that you don't even know. I kept telling her no, but she a stubborn girl. I finally caved." Kris explained.

"That's my best friend for you." Adam replied with a smile. "She knows how to get her way."

"She really does. She used some kind of Jedi mind trick on me." Kris joked.

Adam laughed. Kris looked at him and started laughing as well.

"I'm really glad she did though." Kris stated suddenly serious. He reached over and held Adam's hand.

"Me too." Adam told him as he turned his hand over and laced their fingers together.

Lucy came bounding over to them. She put her head on Adam's lap and looked up at him with big eyes. Adam smiled and gently pet her with the hand that wasn't holding Kris' hand.

"She really likes you." Kris told him. "She's not usually so friendly with people she doesn't know. She's not mean, but she usually just hides from them."

"A big ferocious guard dog, huh?" Adam said with a laugh as he scratched her head.

"She's a big baby. I mean I didn't get her to be a guard dog or a killer or whatever, but I just thought that having a big dog would make people think twice about breaking into my apartment or messing with me on the street. Luckily, I've never had any trouble, but I'm convinced that if anyone ever did try to rob me, Lucy would hide or run away." Kris explained as he affectionately rubbed her ears.

"You might be surprised. When I was little, we had a dog. She was just a little dog…a terrier of some kind. She was the sweetest dog ever. She was really gentle with me and my brother…even if we were rough with her. She was like that with everyone really. Anyway, one night some guy tried to break into our house. Misty…that was the dog's name…she barked and growled and bit the guy in the leg. He took off without getting anything." Adam told him.

"You hear that, Luce…Maybe there's hope for you yet." Kris said to his dog as he scratched her head and leaned down to allow her to kiss him.

Adam and Kris sat and talked while Lucy ran around and played. Kris admitted that he was a fan of Adam. Adam didn't usually date fans, but Kris seemed genuine in his affection. Kris also told Adam that he played guitar and piano and sang a little. He was quick to point out that he wasn't as talented as Adam and had no desire to make a career out of music. Adam told him that he'd love to hear him play and sing sometime. Kris blushed and told him that maybe he would someday.

After a little while, Lucy returned to the two men. She whined and did her best to get Kris' attention.

"I think she's ready to go home." Kris spoke reluctantly as he attached her leash.

"Oh." Adam replied sadly.

"Can I see you again?" Kris questioned as they stood up.

"Of course. I mean you are coming over to my place tomorrow, right?" Adam replied hopefully.

"Yeah. I mean I didn't know if you still wanted me to or…" Kris muttered.

"I do want you to come over. I really want to put in a garden out back, but I also want to spend more time with you, so I figure it's a win-win situation. We can have lunch together tomorrow." Adam explained.

"Okay." Kris responded with a bright smile. "I'll see you around one then."

Adam smiled back. They walked to the main entrance together. They said goodbye. Adam petted Lucy goodbye. They went their separate ways with big smiles on their faces.

February 4th, 2012

"I want lots of colors and different types of plants." Adam declared as he showed Kris the yard.

"Okay." Kris replied as he made a note on his clipboard.

"I was thinking about having a fountain or maybe a pond. I want some trees too." Adam told him excitedly.

"Sounds good." Kris responded making more notes.

Adam continued to tell him about all the ideas he had. Kris smiled as he wrote everything down. He loved that Adam was so enthusiastic about it.

"Roses! I have to have roses!" Adam shouted as they walked back onto the patio.

Kris wrote it down with a giggle. Adam looked at him curiously.

"What's so funny?" Adam asked.

"Nothing's funny. I just love that you are so into this whole garden thing." Kris answered with a smile at Adam. "It's cute."

Adam stared at Kris. He wasn't sure how to respond to him. He couldn't believe that he was flustered. It was usually the other way around. It made him like Kris even more.

"Are you ready for lunch?" Adam finally inquired after staring into Kris' eyes for several minutes.

"I'm starving." Kris stated.

As Adam and Kris at lunch on the patio, they talked about the garden some more. Adam was full of ideas. Kris was really inspired. He drew a few sketches of his ideas. Adam seemed to like them.

February 5th, 2012

Kris and Adam talked on the phone for several hours. Kris told him about his family and growing up in Arkansas. He told Adam that he had moved to California after high school. He had known for a long time that he was gay. He'd had a few people bully him because of it. He had decided that living in L.A. would be better for him.

Adam told Kris about his childhood. He figured that Kris probably already knew some of the things he told him about. It was common knowledge from different interviews. He was glad that Kris never said he already knew that. Kris really seemed to be listening to him and engaged in their conversation.

After their phone call, Adam found himself unable to go to sleep. He was thinking about Kris. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about him since meeting him at the greenhouse. He knew that he could fall in love with the man. He hoped that Kris was thinking of him too.

February 6th, 2012

When they had talked the day before, Kris told Adam that he really wanted to see him again. Adam suggested meeting Kris at the greenhouse and having lunch together. Kris thought that was an excellent idea.

"I can't believe you did all of this." Adam spoke in astonishment as Kris led him into the garden behind the greenhouse.

Kris had convinced the owner to close the greenhouse for an hour for lunch. He had set up a picnic in the garden for him and Adam. They were the only two people around.

"Do you like it?" Kris inquired as he and Adam sat down on the blanket.

"It's perfect. You know I should probably tell you that I am a hopeless romantic. I love this kind of stuff." Adam told him as he accepted the bottle of water Kris handed him.

"That's good to know. I should tell you that I love to do these kinds of things for the person that I'm with." Kris responded with a sly smile.

As they ate lunch, Adam and Kris talked about their past relationships. They had both been hurt a few times. Adam was surprised about some of things that he was sharing with Kris. He was usually very private about certain aspects of his life. He didn't want his personal business splashed all over the tabloids. However, he felt like he could really trust Kris.

When Adam left the greenhouse, he whistled the whole way to his car. He knew that he had it bad for Kris. He just hoped that Kris felt the same.

February 7th, 2012

"That was hilarious." Kris laughed as he and Adam stumbled out of the movie theater.

They were both laughing. They had their arms around one another. They had just seen Jim Carrey's newest movie.

"It was good. I'm glad you picked it." Adam replied as he stopped laughing.

"Well, next time you get to pick." Kris told him.

Adam just smiled at him. He was glad to hear that there would be a next time. He thought that he might scare Kris off. He had been recognized a few times. He had to stop and sign autographs and take pictures. He wasn't sure how Kris would handle it, but he had just stood to the side and smiled at Adam.

February 8th, 2012

"Favorite color?" Kris inquired with a laugh.

"Purple." Adam responded. "What's yours?"

"Blue. What's your favorite holiday?"

"Oh, Valentine's Day, for sure. I told you I was a hopeless romantic. What about you?"

"Christmas."

"Being Jewish, I didn't get to celebrate Christmas when I was growing up."

"I'm sure Hanukah is fun too."

"It is, but I was always jealous of my friends who got to have a tree and presents under it and everything else. One year, I'm gonna go all out for Christmas and have a huge party. I just haven't had the chance yet. I'm always busy around the holidays." Adam explained.

"An Adam Lambert Christmas party does sound pretty epic." Kris teased.

"Any party that I throw is epic." Adam clarified with a chuckle.

Kris just started to laugh. He didn't know Adam that well, but he wanted to know everything about him. He was falling in love.

February 9th, 2012

"I'm nervous." Kris admitted as he and Adam headed toward the club.

"Why?" Adam asked as he reached over and took Kris' hand.

"I'm meeting your friends. What if they don't like me?" Kris inquired as he squeezed Adam's hand.

"They are going to love you. Besides, Ali and Matt will be there. Ali already likes you or she wouldn't have set us up. It's going to be fine." Adam stated as he pulled Kris close to his side.

Adam gently kissed Kris' forehead. Kris looked up at him and smiled brightly. Kris felt better seeing that Adam was confident that his friends would like him. He really wanted to make a good impression.

In no time at all, Kris felt completely comfortable with Adam's friends. He felt like he had known them forever. They were great people. He could see why Adam hung out with them. They all seemed to like him too.

February 10th, 2012

"These look amazing." Adam declared as he looked over the sketches Kris had brought over for the garden.

"I'm glad you like them. I think that it's going to be awesome." Kris told him.

"I know it is. Kris, you are so good at this." Adam responded with a big smile.

"Thanks. I just over think sometimes and…" Kris tried to explain.

He was silenced when Adam leaned over and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. It was their first kiss. Kris immediately kissed Adam back. When they broke the kiss, they looked into each other's eyes and smiled.

February 11th, 2012

"I had the worse day ever." Adam announced when Kris answered the phone.

"What happened, baby?" Kris asked genuinely concerned.

"Well, I had a session with Scott Green, the songwriter and it was terrible. We were not on the same page at all. I don't even think we were in the same book." Adam explained dramatically.

"I'm sorry you had such a bad day. I know some things that will make you feel better." Kris replied happily.

"What?" Adam inquired excitedly.

"Well, I ordered the fountain for your garden today. It'll be here in a couple weeks. I really think you're gonna love it. Second, I got us the tickets to the black and white film festival in the park tomorrow. Third, I wanted to ask you what your plans for Valentine's Day were." Kris replied.

"That does make me feel better and I have no plans for Valentine's Day." Adam told him hoping that Kris did have plans for the holiday.

"Good. Keep it that way. I want to spend the whole day with you. I have a lot of surprises for you." Kris spoke mysteriously.

"Like what?" Adam asked mischievously.

"Like if I told you they wouldn't be surprises anymore. You'll have to wait until the fourteenth to find out." Kris teased.

Adam smiled. He was really happy. He forgot all about his bad day at the studio. All he cared about was talking to Kris.

February 12th, 2012

"I've never been to something like this before." Kris told Adam as they headed to the park.

"It's a lot of fun. I haven't been in a long time. I think that last time I came was with a bunch of friends. None of us had dates for Valentine's Day, so we came here together." Adam explained.

Adam and Kris quickly found a place to spread out their blanket. They got settled in just as the first movie was starting.

At first, they sat side by side. Their hands were resting together between them on the blanket. Before the movie was half over, Adam had leaned against the tree and pulled Kris into his arms. Kris sat between his legs and leaned back against his chest. Adam wrapped his arms around him. They laced their fingers together as they watched the rest of the movie.

"I'm really glad we did this." Kris whispered as the second movie started. He turned to look up at Adam.

"Me too." Adam breathed as he leaned down to kiss Kris' lips.

Kris turned his body further and pressed his lips firmly to Adam's soft ones. His hand slid into Adam's hair as they deepened the kiss. They missed most of the second movie because they were making out. Neither one of them could have been happier.

February 13th, 2012

"Can't you just give me a hint?" Adam asked for the tenth time.

He was trying to get some kind of information out of Kris about their big Valentine's Day date. Kris wouldn't tell him anything.

"No hints, but I am sure that you are going to like it." Kris responded.

"You have to tell me something. How will I know what to wear?" Adam asked.

"I am sure that you'll be dressed just fine for what we are doing." Kris told him.

"You are so mean." Adam joked.

"Yeah, I know…I'm the meanest boyfriend ever." Kris teased.

"Boyfriend?" Adam asked suddenly serious.

Adam and Kris had been seeing each other for about two weeks, but they hadn't defined their relationship yet. Adam wanted to be Kris' boyfriend…wanted Kris to be his boyfriend. He just didn't know if Kris wanted that.

"Yeah, I mean that is usually what you call the boy who you are dating." Kris stated lightheartedly.

"I know, but we haven't talked about our relationship. I just wasn't sure what you wanted…" Adam tried to explain.

"I want you to be my boyfriend. I want to be your boyfriend." Kris declared decisively.

"I want that too." Adam replied with a smile.

"Good…Then I guess we're on the same page in the same book." Kris laughed.

Adam laughed too. He couldn't wait to see what his boyfriend had planned for them tomorrow.

February 14th, 2012

Kris walked into Adam's bedroom carrying a tray of food. Adam had given him a key and the security codes, so that he could come over and work on the garden any time. He didn't think that he would mind if he used them for other purposes. Kris set the try down on the dresser and walked over to the bed. Carefully, he sat down and watched Adam for a few moments. He looked really peaceful. He hated to wake him up, but he had a lot planned for them.

"Adam, baby, wake up." Kris spoke softly as he shook Adam slightly.

Adam's eyes fluttered a few times before they opened. He looked at Kris in confusion.

"Kris, what are you doing here? How did you…" Adam mumbled sleepily.

"I used the key and the codes you gave me. I hope you don't mind. I wanted to start our day early. I made you breakfast." Kris explained.

"I don't mind. I like waking up to your beautiful face." Adam replied as he gently touched Kris' cheek.

Kris smiled and leaned down to place a light kiss on his lips. Adam pulled him closer and deepened the kiss. After a few minutes, they broke the kiss and stared at one another.

"Let's have breakfast. I have a lot of surprises for you today." Kris told him as he got up and retrieved the tray of food.

Kris had made pancakes, bacon, orange juice, and coffee. The two men ate in companionable silence. It crossed Adam's mind that Kris was seeing him without any make-up and in his comfortable clothes with bed hair and he didn't even care.

When they finished breakfast, Kris told Adam to get ready and meet him downstairs. While he waited for Adam to come down, Kris cleaned up his mess in the kitchen.

"Oh my God! Kris, this is so amazing!" Adam shouted as he walked into his living room a half hour later. He had taken a shower, fixed his hair, done his make-up, and put on his normal attire.

Kris had set up a small fake Christmas tree on Adam's coffee table. It was decorated and there were a few presents under it.

"I know that it's Valentine's Day, but I thought that we'd have a little Christmas celebration being as you've never really celebrated." Kris explained.

"It's perfect. Are those presents all for me?" Adam asked as he walked closer.

"They are." Kris responded.

Adam and Kris sat on the couch. Kris handed Adam his gifts one at a time. There was a beautiful picture frame in the first one. Adam thought it would be the perfect frame to house a picture of him and Kris. In the next box, there was a zebra print tie. Kris told him that he had seen it and thought of him. Adam laughed. The third box held a pair of music note cuff links. They had garnets on them for Adam's birthday. The last box contained several packets of flower seeds. Kris told Adam that he was going to teach him how to plant flowers. Adam just smiled.

"So now that you've gotten your presents, are you ready to go?" Kris asked.

"Where are we going? Am I dressed okay?" Adam quizzed as he got up and followed Kris toward the door.

"I'm still not telling you where we are going and you are dressed perfectly." Kris answered.

As Kris drove them to their destination, Adam tried to guess where they were going. Kris wouldn't give him any answers though.

Adam was amazed when he found out where they were. Kris had brought him to a botanical garden. Adam loved it. They wandered around for awhile. Adam pointed out the flowers that he knew. Kris held his hand and told him about the rest of the plants. Adam was like a kid in a candy store.

"What's next?" Adam inquired as they left the botanical garden. He wasn't expecting to get an answer.

"Lunch." Kris replied.

"Wow, you actually gave me an answer." Adam stated in shock.

"Well, I figured that I should tell you about this. We're going to the Grove and we're meeting Ali and Matt and my best friend Cale and his girlfriend Megan." Kris explained.

"So like a triple date?" Adam asked with a giggle.

"Yeah. Do you mind?" Kris inquired as he unlocked his car.

"No. It'll be fun. You've met my friends. I'm excited to meet yours too." Adam replied as he leaned over and quickly kissed Kris.

When Adam and Kris arrived at the restaurant, Ali, Matt, Cale, and Megan were waiting for them. They met outside and introductions were made. When they were seated at their table, they easily fell into conversation. Of course, Ali and Cale had to tell a few embarrassing stories about Adam and Kris. Adam and Kris returned the favor. By the time lunch was over, they were all laughing and felt like they had been friends forever. Adam and Kris were both glad that their friends were getting along so well with one another.. They made plans to get together again.

After they left the restaurant, Kris took Adam to his apartment. He wanted to pick up Lucy and take her to the dog park. Adam was thrilled to see her again. She was just as happy. She jumped up and licked his face when he walked in the door. Adam and Kris both laughed.

Adam and Kris sat on their bench as Lucy played in the park. Adam wrapped his arm around Kris and pulled him close to his side.

"Today has been amazing." Adam told him as he watched Lucy chase a little dog around a tree.

"It has been pretty amazing, but it's not over yet. I still have a few more surprises up my sleeve." Kris replied as he placed his hand on Adam's knee.

"How did I get so lucky?" Adam whispered before capturing Kris' lips in a sweet kiss.

When Lucy was done playing, they took her back home. They headed for their next destination. Kris was back to keeping everything a secret. Adam smiled brightly when he realized that they were going to the Santa Monica Pier.

There weren't a lot of people there being as it was during the week. Adam was recognized a few times, but mostly people left him alone. They went on the carousel, the Ferris wheel, and some of the other rides. They acted like children and loved every minute of it. Kris played one of the games and won Adam a giant stuffed frog.

When it started to get dark, they left the pier. Adam was surprised when they pulled up in front of the greenhouse where Kris worked. Kris led him to the garden. Adam gasped when he saw that Kris had set up a romantic dinner for them.

"You're spoiling me." Adam stated as Kris pulled out his chair for him.

"You deserve to be spoiled." Kris whispered in his ear before gently kissing his cheek.

Kris took his seat and poured them each a glass of wine. They clinked their glasses together before taking a sip.

"How did you do all of this?" Adam questioned as he looked around again.

There were white string lights strung around. The table was set. The wine had been opened. There was a cooler of food.

"I had a little help from some friends." Kris responded as he started taking food out of the cooler.

Kris served them their dinner of sandwiches, coleslaw, and potato chips. There were red velvet cupcakes for dessert. As they ate, they talked about their friends.

When they were done with dinner, Adam helped Kris clean everything up. Kris told him that he didn't have to, but Adam insisted.

After everything was cleaned up, Kris led Adam back to the car. He drove a few blocks to a small cabaret club. Adam noticed that it was open mike night when they walked in. He hoped that Kris was going to sing.

"Are you going to sing, baby?" Adam asked him as they took a seat.

"Maybe." Kris answered with a smile.

Adam just smiled. He couldn't wait to hear Kris sing.

"Please welcome to the stage…Kris Allen!" The MC announced a few minutes later.

Kris kissed Adam's cheek and walked up to the stage. He picked up a guitar that was sitting there and took a seat on the stool in front of the mike. He strummed the guitar a few times to make sure it was in tune. He looked up at the audience and smiled crookedly.

"I'm gonna sing a song for someone special. It's called The Way You Look Tonight. It's a classic, but I changed it up a little. I hope you like it, baby." Kris spoke as he looked directly at Adam.

Adam just beamed. Kris strummed the guitar a few more times.

"Someday, when I'm awfully low…And the world is cold…I will feel a glow just thinking of you and the way you look tonight…You're lovely with your smile so warm…And your cheeks so soft…There is nothing for me but to love you…And the way you look tonight…With each word your tenderness grows...tearing my fears apart…And that laugh that wrinkles your nose…It touches my foolish heart…Lovely never ever change…Keep that breathless charm…Won't you please arrange it?...Cause I love you and the way you look tonight…And that laugh that wrinkles your nose…that touches my foolish heart…Love leads towards you…never ever change…Keep that breathless charm…Won't you please arrange it?...Cause I love you and the way you look tonight…Just the way you look tonight." Kris sang.

When the song was over, everyone applauded Kris. Adam jumped up and clapped and cheered the loudest. He had tears in his eyes. It was the sweetest thing that anyone had ever done for him.

"Come in for a little while." Adam demanded when Kris dropped him off at home later that night.

"Okay." Kris replied with a smile.

Adam unlocked the door and led Kris inside. He offered him something to drink, but Kris didn't want anything. They decided to cuddle up on the couch.

"Everything was so great today, Kris. It was the best day ever. No one has ever done something like that for me before." Adam told him as he held him tight and kissed the top of his head.

"I'm glad you had a good day." Kris responded before kissing Adam's arm which was the closest part of him that he could reach.

"I feel bad though. I didn't get you anything. I wanted to, but I didn't know what to get you and then you went and did all this amazing stuff for me." Adam spoke.

"I don't need anything. My present was being able to spend the day with you and seeing the expressions on your face when you saw all your surprises." Kris explained as he moved so he could look at Adam's face.

"I really am the luckiest man in the world." Adam breathed before his lips met Kris' lips.

They let the kiss overtake them. Before either of them realized it, Kris was straddling Adam's lap and their hands were roaming each other's bodies. Kris shifted and rubbed against Adam's growing erection. Adam hissed in pleasure and quickly moved them until Kris was lying on the couch and he was on top of him. They began to tug at each other's clothes.

"I want you so much, Adam." Kris sighed when Adam started kissing his neck.

"I want you too." Adam replied in between kisses.

"Let's take this to your bedroom then." Kris moaned when Adam's hand snaked under his shirt.

"Are you sure?" Adam inquired as he stopped everything he was doing.

"Yes." Kris declared.

Adam kissed him one more time. He jumped up from the couch and grabbed Kris' hand. He pulled him along to his bedroom.

When they were in his room, Adam kissed Kris deeply. Suddenly, he broke the kiss and threw Kris down on the bed.

"Fuck." Kris groaned when he landed on the bed. He could see the pure lust in Adam's eyes.

"That's the plan." Adam smirked as he started to remove his clothes.

Kris moaned and fumbled to remove his clothes as well. Once they were both naked, they stopped and stared at one another for a few minutes.

"You look good enough to eat." Adam told him as he climbed onto the bed with him.

Kris was at a total loss for words. Adam was gorgeous beyond belief and totally turned on. Kris felt like the luckiest guy in the world that Adam wanted him.

Adam kneeled on the bed. He pulled Kris up into a sitting position. He latched his lips onto Kris' waiting ones. As they kissed, Adam ran his hands all over Kris' body.

"Tell me what you want, baby. This is my present to you. I'll do anything you want." Adam whispered in his ear and nibbled on it.

"I just…I want…" Kris stuttered. He didn't even know what he wanted. He just wanted Adam.

"Do you want me to suck you?" Adam inquired as he gently stroked Kris' erection once.

"Yes." Kris hissed as his eyes closed.

Adam smiled and pushed Kris back. He kissed down Kris' body and gently stroked him. Finally, he reached his destination. Slowly, he licked the drop of pre-cum from the head. Kris whimpered and threaded his fingers in Adam's hair.

Adam smirked. He absolutely loved making his lovers come undone. Leisurely, he licked the underside of Kris' cock. He squirmed a little. Adam licked him a few more times. He took the head of his cock into his mouth and sucked ever so slightly. Kris pushed on his head to get more. Adam finally took the whole thing into his mouth.

"Fuck!" Kris shouted as Adam sucked on him.

Adam brought Kris to the brink of his orgasm, but pulled off before he could fall over the edge.

"What do you want me to do now?" Adam asked as he licked his way back up Kris' body.

"Any…Any…thing you want." Kris replied shakily. He was so turned on that he couldn't even think.

"How about I use my tongue to get you wet and open for me?" Adam asked before kissing him.

"Okay." Kris breathed a moment later.

Adam kissed his way back down Kris' body. Kris let his legs fall open in invitation to Adam. Adam licked him very gently at first. Kris was falling apart and he loved every minute of it. Finally, he stuck just the tip of his tongue into Kris' hole. Kris groaned and tangled his fingers in Adam's hair again. Adam wiggled his tongue around a little before pushing it in further. After a few minutes of just his tongue, Adam began to use his fingers as well. Kris was very vocal.

When Adam felt like Kris was ready, he removed his tongue and fingers. Kris whimpered at the loss. Adam just smiled and kissed the inside of his thigh.

"Are you ready? Do you want me inside you?" Adam quizzed as he reached for the lube and condoms he kept in his nightstand.

"Yes." Kris replied as he reached out and stroked Adam's dick a few times.

Adam rolled the condom on. He lathered himself with lube. He captured Kris' mouth in a kiss as he positioned himself at his entrance. Carefully, he pushed his way inside. They moaned into each other's mouths.

Adam stayed still and just kissed Kris for a few moments. When he was sure that Kris was adjusted, he slowly began to move in and out of him. Kris gripped the sheets and begged for more. Adam complied and started moving harder and faster.

Kris grabbed Adam's butt and squeezed. With every thrust, Adam was hitting his prostrate. He was so close and he could tell that Adam was too.

"Come for me, baby." Adam whispered in Kris' ear.

"Adam!" Kris shouted as he came all over his stomach.

"Kris!" Adam yelled as Kris' orgasm pushed him over the edge as well.

Adam continued to move inside Kris slowly through the aftershocks. Their lips fused together even though they could barely breathe.

When they had both calmed down a little, Adam removed himself. He took the condom off and threw it in the garbage. He lay back down on the bed and pulled Kris into his arms. Kris immediately snuggled up to him.

"I love you, Adam." Kris declared before kissing his chest where his head was resting.

"I love you too, Kris." Adam confirmed. He kissed Kris' forehead.

They were both exhausted. In no time, they were sound asleep.

"Good morning." Kris whispered when he woke up to see Adam just staring at him.

"It's a very good morning." Adam responded before capturing Kris' lips in a kiss.

"I love you." Kris told him when the kiss ended.

"I love you too." Adam returned as he hugged Kris tighter to his body.

"I'm glad that we're on the same page." Kris spoke.

"In the same book." Adam finished before kissing Kris again.
