i am suitably impressed, as i may have guessed that, but i definitely did not know that... and it's a little embarassing frankly.

well, one doesn't even need to know that woodrow wilson was president in 1912, one only need consider the date of 1912 as a birthday (or the 1910s as a birth decade), and connect that to the 1930s and 1940s music scene.
