Today I was walking past safeway to the bus stop when I saw (and heard) a big dog howling and looking all antsy, waiting for its owner. I went up to it, and put out my hand to see if it would bite me. Immediately, it sat down and stuck out its paw, which landed in my hand and we shook like old pals.

And that is why today was a wonderful day.
