Um, hon - does the ear/throat thing feel sharp? (Just remembering that johnofnotrades has been fighting an ENT thing recently...)

Hmmm, yes, the throat does feel a little sharp. Wonderful.

Gargle with some warm salt water (will help kill off anything, plus help the throat some).

If it gets any worse, see your MD or hie thyself to a clinic. I've met a few people who've had variants of this this spring.
