Diwali in Matheran

Gerda and I have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Matheran. Matheran is a tiny little town on top of some hills near Mumbai. Its most unique feature, however, is not that its isolated by sheer cliffs from the valley below, but that motorised vehicles are not permitted in the town. Saw some great pictures Matheran on the the internet. Looks like a lovely place to go for a holiday. I can't belive that your work time is almost done. Mom

Wow, I love the idea of traveling only by horse or rickshaw to go see amazing views. The train ride sounds freaky but cool, so long as it stays on that little track.

I love reading your posts. I have to catch up though. I've been working super hard to try to stay on top of school. It's been very tough because I've been playing catchup since being sick for 2.5 weeks of the first month of school (2 separate colds) :( so my time spent in front of the computer is so strained between all the things I have to do.
