On May the 20th at 9:59pm Sam’s short film “LOVE” was aired on the Comedy Channel. The short film was shown in between the south park episodes Timmy! 2000 and Cartman Joins NAMBLA. The film was televised to a national audience. Commendations may be in order. Congratulations Sam.

I think the film would actually work quite well between South Park episodes. So are they just randomly showing the films on their own between shows and not showing them together as a Short Film Festival program?

Yeah, they appear to be just showing them on their own. I guess having a film that is only 34 seconds long is an advantage in that situation.
