Prompt: Setting the Mood

Title: In the darkness of my mind
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Dark
Authors Notes: This isn't entirely based on me. It's related to my late post about setting. Since it seemed like the character was kind of afraid of going back to her room, I decided to work with that. That, and I'm listening to a pretty dark song right now *laughs* Anyways, hope you enjoy and comment please. :)
The room itself is bland, boring and unnoticeable. Though, the keys feel heavy as she puts them into the lock. The air feels fine, but to her, its heavy and full of things that need to be said but the person is obvious to it as she chokes down her insecurities. There is this dark oppressive power controlling her here, and she needs to escape.
But this place is her home too. Not just the other player's. Still, she throws her empty bag on her brightly coloured sheets (it's a lie, all of it) and promptly gets things ready to leave. She needs to get out.
"Where are you going?" Why does it matter? She thinks bitterly, that concern if false and it is full of controlling needs. Because she refuses to be controlled, though, she admits silently to herself only, she IS being controlled. She being control by her own fear to say nothing.
She hates it. Her bag is almost done packing when she answers, "The library."
"Why can't you study here?"
"I can't. Too many distractions." Almost true, not entirely but close enough. If she wasn't here then she could study here. After all, she would be alone and well... free. She picks up her bag and heads towards the door. She mumbles that she shouldn't wait up for her.
The air is still heavy, and gets slightly heavier so when the other girl doesn't answer. Nodding to herself she opens the door and closes it behind her. She sticks her keys in, they feel lighter, and locks it. Pulling her keys out she leaves. And the heavy oppressive nature that is her room is slowly fading behind.
