Title: The rainbow skies and the grey Earth
Rating: R

Authors Notes: So uh, yeah. This is more like ramblings from the inners of my mind. Don't get to freaked out alright?

It was difficult for her. She was so use to the freedom that her parents guarded her from. She was use to people telling her what to do and usually ignoring them.

But here, in the in the darkness of the early morning she couldn't hold onto anything she believed or knew anymore. Because she wasn't alone in her thought and she wasn't with another physical person. All her memories were of her in the sky castle, the fortress. It was her home for so long. It was all she knew.

The tall coridors, everything being made of metal (even the plants). The bright colours to hide the darkness that lived there. Her world was full of skies, every colour of the rainbow. Her windows were big and she had a white balcony to go sit on when the sun was good. Her room was decorated in rich reds and blues. A green pillow or two, here and there.

She had wanted a real plant for her birthday. It was all she asked for.
Her parents got her toys and beautiful clothes stitched with gold and diamond threads. They paled in comparison to what the ship mechanic boy gave her.

It was a simple white lily. A real one.

He said that he got it the last time they landed. That had been months before her birthday. She blushed heavily at the memory. But it faded as quickly as it came.

Because he was no longer with her. In fact, no one really was. Igna left her in the last city, claiming she was tired of being dirty and sleeping in fields. She was tired of the darkness. At least the cities had lights that went on at night.

Not for her.

All her life she been locked in that crazy flying metal cage. Now she was out in the fields (real flowers!) and her feet were covered in mud. Her clothes were torn as she had just run away from more drunken men. Even though that place was a cage, it was a safe cage.

If she ever went back, no one would marry her. After all, she isn't a virgin anymore. She sold it to the highest bidder. She got quite a pretty penny for it. She hid most of it from Igna. Probably a bad idea in the long run but oh well. No much she could do about that now.

There were no metal cages down on the surface, instead there were fields, trees, plant life. At the same time, there was drunken men and no safety.

"Hey!" She whipped her head around and smiled. The boy, the genius mechanic from the metal cage had found her. He had taken her to the field of white lilies. And even though the surface world was dark,

"Don't run off like that! I told you I would defend you from them." It seemed much brighter then it ever had in the metal cage.

So it might be difficult for her, but as long as he is here, it doesn't really matter that much does it?
