I'll feel a lot better about power outages when we get our woodstove up and running--though I got a lot closer to it yesterday, when we got an offer of free bricks for insulating the window where we'll be running the stove pipe.

On the other hand, we're still better equipped to handle a black-out than a lot of people (not just emergency supplies, but a personal library helps pass the time!). And if nothing else we have seven animals to provide a supply of warmth. :)

In my brain, I think the gas stuff is the most important, but somehow it's listening to WVTF on the wind up radio that makes me happiest.
