OK, I finally saw the Departed. Not gonna say much because much has already been said. Two pionts of conflict. A) The Departed is not better than Boondock Saints. Sorry, I gave it fair due, and I think it's a great movie, but it does not have the gritty and often surreal culture of city Boston that the Saints captured so well. Well, I swam Hingham Harbor and Hull Gut today... see I had some 32 kids I had to lifeguard to Grape Island, and I assigned them all to sailboats, leaving one sailboat that didn't have a rudder pin and had a crack through the DOUBLE HULL... so that was abandoned and I swam... I. LOVE. CCD TEACHING. !!!. My kids are absolutely rock, and our topic of the year is pop culture, which is excellent, because the kids feel like I can compare to them on it considering we're in the same generation.
