Have you ever visited a monastery? Then you could at least part of the experience without having to lose that contact with people for too long. I only ask because I once spent a weekend on a silent retreat at a monastery and it was one of the most rewarding...enriching...defining moments of my life. It was the Abbey of Genesee and it's in New York. You never believe you'll be able to drag yourself from bed at 2:25am and then again at 6am for vigils and then lauds but you do and you look forward to the chants every single time. It's quite moving. I wish I could paint a better picture with my words, but it's relative late at the moment.

Sorry, you don't know me but I just found this post when I clicked Gina's friends page and I was thoroughly intrigued. It's an experience not to pass up if you ever have the chance.

Oh, right, and also, thats an awesome idea. You should follow up on it.
