Dear Reader, After a late fall, I am proud to announce that we finally have snow! It's coming down hard and
It was great for me to sit in the comfort of my room with some good theory friends working on homework with my big picture window overlooking all the snow. What a perfect little moment during the day! This reminds me of why I'm here at UNR. The rest of the day was good too. The snow flurries were on and off all morning before the heavy stuff that's going on now, and my classes were great. I enjoyed seeing the excitement in the freshman's eyes as well. For many of them (being from Vegas), this is their first snow that they've seen and it was making spirits bright today in the music building. In jazz improv, we talked about skiing and went around playing holiday music before class started.
Then I got a text message and email from Jen, who thought it would be necessary to tell me that it is also snowing 10 miles to the south. Dork. Anywho... After that, my roommates and I went out and made a small snowman with a touch of Irish!
This all means that the holidays are here and so is the ski season. The sooner that I can hit the slopes, the better! ^_^
