i'm just wild about harry...
HBP is so close I can almost taste it. It's possible that by this point I would be certified clinically insane due to the level of obsession I have reached. Ah, well. I will celebrate this by giving you my HBP predictions in the form of a meme (stolen from becks89).
1. Love Pairings. Pick all that you think apply: Ron/Hermione;
Harry/Hermione; Neville/Hermione; Draco/Hermione; Harry/Luna; Ron/Luna;
Neville/Luna; Harry/Ginny; Neville/Ginny
Ron/Hermione for sure, possibly Harry/Ginny or Harry/Luna.
2. Who will die. Pick all that you think apply: Harry, Ron,
Hermione, Neville, Luna, Cho, Dumbledore, Ginny, Percy, Fred, George,
Charlie, Bill, Mr. Weasley, Mrs Weasley, Lupin, McGonagall, Snape
HBP: Dumbledore (*sob*), Lupin and one of the Weasleys--maybe Percy.
Last book: Lupin if he isn't already dead and Snape.
3. Should Dumbledore trust Snape?
Yes. Snape has put his life on the line for the Order and anyway, as far as I'm concerned , anyone who Dumbledore deems trustworthy, is.
4. Will Percy redeem himself?
Yes, but he will have to swallow his pride so I don't know if it will happen straight away.
5. Will Draco redeem himself?
I highly doubt it. JKR's aleady given us enough clues to suggest that Draco stays the way he is.
6. How will Sirius re-appear: Ghost? Mirror? Painting? Other?
Sadly, I don't think he will re-appear, although I do think we'll see the mirror again.
7. Who will be Head Boy? Harry, Ron, Neville, Draco?
Harry.
8. Who will be the next Minister? Arthur Weasley, Umbridge, Dumbledore, Other?
Other, as Becks said, Dumbledore wouldn't leave Hogwarts (now more than ever) and Arthur isn't high enough in the Ministry to be considered for this position (at the moment).
9. Could Neville have been the chosen one or was Harry pre-destined?
Neville could have been chosen. I think that one of the main themes of the series is choice. Dumbledore says that it is our choices that show who we really are, and I think the important point here is that Voldemort chose Harry, he was not pre-destined.
10. Is Harry an animagus?
No--we would know if he was. Still time to learn though.
11. Will we see Umbridge again?
I don't think she'll make a major appearance, although we will probabl hear of her (perhaps through the Weasleys).
12. Is Umbridge a Death Eater?
Nope, just Evil in a different way. Good and Evil aren't black and white.
13. Who (if anyone) will betray Harry? Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna, Ginny, None of the above?
I don't think of them will, especially after what they all went through together in OotP.
14. Who (if anyone) will betray the Order? Dumbledore, McGonagall, Lupin, Snape, Tonks, Kingsley, Real Moody?
Again, none. I trust Snape.
15. Is Petunia a squib?
Not a technically squib since her parents weren't magical, but there's something else there. How did she know what Dementors were and what Azkaban was?
16. Will there be a third prophecy?
Most likely not.
17. Will Voldemort die?
I don't think he can die in the usual sense of the word, since he isn't really human. I don't know how/if he will be defeated.
18. Will Pettigrew betray Voldemort?
Yes, in some way. he will repay his debt.
