I am just starting my TV catch-up.
Okay, this won't be coherent at all, but here are my thoughts:
Gabby & Carlos: I did think for a second that Carlos was dead, but only because I heard that one of the main characters dies in the finale. So glad he didn't pop his clogs. Gabby's storylines wouldn't work without Carlos. It was sort of obvious that Carlos would cheat with Xiao-Mei when he eyed her up at the fertility clinic after Gabby told him that she (Xio-Mei) was a vigrin. I know that it's hypocritical of Gabby to be angry, but at the same time I think Carlos chose someone a little too close to home to have an affair with. Gabby was able to cut all ties with John, but Xiao-Mei is carrying their baby. This makes everything a lot more complicated. Plus he SUCKED at hiding it. Loved the flashbacks of John and Gabby at the start of their affair.
Susan & Mike: Although she annoys me sometimes, I wish the writers would give her just a little bit of happiness with Mike. It's getting frustrating watching them come close, and having something out of their control wreck it every time. I'm pretty sure Mike lives, he's too important a character to kill off.
Lynette & Tom: I knew that Tom wouldn't cheat, so I guessed that he had another child. Omg, I hated Nora. I forsee her and Lynette clashing a lot more next season. How great was Lynette in the restaurant scene? *squee*
Bree: Loved her in the mental hospital, hehe. But I have to ask: WHY are all the psychos attracted to Bree? Can she not have *one* vaguely normal boyfriend? I hope the whole thing with Matthew makes Danielle see how much her mum loves her. I've had enough of Bree's kids trying to make her life hell. Hopefully, we'll see a bit of a change in the mother-daughter dynamics next season, with Danielle becoming closer to her mum, and Julie becoming a bit more rebellious.
The Applewhites: Meh. I didn't really care about them, so I don't care that Matthew's dead. I'm not surprised that he was the one that killed Melanie Foster, he did seem like a bit of a nutjob. Although I guess he was trying to protect his brother, in a strange way.
Orson: OMG SO CREEPY. I can't believe he was the one thatran Mike over. I did not see that coming AT ALL. They set it up to like it was Karl, so this was *way* out of the blue. I wonder why he did it. Obviously something to with his and Mike's past. Oooh, I want to know who that woman was that he visited in the mental hospital. Maybe it's something to do with her. Hmmm...
All in all, I thought it was a great finale to a sometimes iffy season. Answered some questions, but introduced a lot more. I loved, loved, loved the flashbacks (pink haired!Danielle). Glad the Applewhites are gone. Mike better be alive. Want more Edie!
Yes, that's all I think. Phew.
