Well, since Daoist was originally spelled in characters other than the letters we use, debate over whether it's a "D" or "T" sound seems mostly arbitary to me.

I'd argue that animism is a form of theism, if you're referring to Native American style animism. Aboriginie style is closer to Daoism.

not native american style, what is aboriginie style? and i am thinking neither of those, the very basic basic style of animism who dont care about the number of gods

All I know is that when I get my lisence I am driving to a different church each week or so to find the religion I like best.
Most of the ones they teach you about in school are too hardcore for me.
