this morning i gave in to the snot monsters and stayed home from work. i am proud to report that despite staying home i haven't spent a single minute playing civilazation. to celebrate, i think i will play some civ *P..

so what did i do? i slept a bunch, i cleaned up a bunch of crap, and i made some silly things

I need to second the adorableness of the fish. Are you going to give it to your dad? You've just inspired me to try and make a stuffed zink for my dad for father's day. Maybe I'll do that while I'm in SF so you can help me after I've sewn my fingers together.

that was the idea in the back of my head. i'll probably make another one that is a bit more sturdy along the seams..

i have all the materials you would ever need to sew a zink too, man do i have too much fabric!

Re: pointy tail -- I think, if you only sew up to couple stitches away from where you want the point (you'll have a gap rather that having the sewing lines meet), and clip the corner, it should end up pointier. Unfortunately I don't remember where I read that, and why I remember it.
