the golden compass
so, i just finished reading the trilogy that the golden compass movie coming out on friday is based on. i realy enjoyed the trilogy. also, some people have their panties in a twist about the story and the movie and whatnot.

Apparently i made it through my first largish(5.6) earthquake w/o noticing a thing was wrong. Other people saw things shake and fall off bookcases and felt the ground rumble, but I blissfully carried on and wondered why we stopped rehearsal.

i just got delicious library working again after the hd crash of last year. i also got a bluetooth scanner, cause damnit, i wasn't entering all those books the hard way again. the scanner is awesome, i loves it very much. now i just need to get some software that allows me to use it to keep my kitchen stocked.. *beep ( Read more... ) -

my function on this planet seems to have recently changed from being a functioning member of human society into being a snot fountain, providing an interdimensional portal between the snot world and this one. bah. i also can't taste things or hear things, as those functions were deemed unnecessary by the snot gods. grump. -
