i get these emails from astrology.com or something of that variation. any who..its a dream decoder, and it sends a different symbolism like todays, was chasing someone. and yesterday, was candles. but i really don't think that my brain subconsciously uses symbolism. i really don't think sleepy allison is trying to tell awake allison to "read

Dreams often do have some meaning to the person, and it often is through the symbols. However, the symbolism is based on what the symbols mean to the dreamer, not to what is said in a book. So to analyze dreams, you have to write out your dreams in detail upon waking up, and then try to decipher the underlying concepts behind this or that part in your dream. If it was someone you knew in the past, who were they and what effect did they have on you, or how do you perceive them, etc. It's kinda interesting when you put it all together, but often doesn't really help you out with solving some problems.

Although I should also mention that research has shown that sometimes dreams do involve problem solving.

I dont totally buy into " dream dictionaries" and what not with a definition of each item in dreams. However, your subconscious, I believe is working through things as you sleep. I would pay attention to theme and the feeling that you had in the dream and upon rising. Those might be pertinent messages. Like, dreaming you are in a car with no breaks, or similar themes, I would suggest seriously taking a look at your life and see where things are out of control.
