I've found for me that I have to be pretty agressive to cut calories: ie, no meals out, drinking, etc. I usually let myself eat out once a week, and everything else has to be home made or out of a box. I'm on my diet now, but so far I've only lost like 1lb, due to too many events. Gonna have to start saying NO again.
