Because this has a very specific target audience while Twatlight & other movies like it do not. They're a much more general masses.

I thought more people would want to see it because of all the flashy fight scenes and pretty colors. That's what drew me in. And 'cuz it's hilarious. Because I'm not really part of that target audience, but I went to see it anyway. Meh. *shrug*

If any of the following applies, you are in the target demographic:
You're between the ages of 15 to 35
You have ever been called a nerd, dork, or geek
You have a strange, offbeat sense of humor
You like comics
You like video games
You like undergound music
Etc.

I believe you have a target sign on your forehead.

I don't understand why people saw either of those movies. I don't get why anyone would see "Eat Pray Love" why do I want to watch Julia Roberts on vacation? It just pisses me off that she gets to go to all those cool places, and barely does anything, and gets paid for it, while I'm stuck here, in my boring-ass fucking town with nothing to do, and I'm supposed to be entertained by that????? I don't get it.

And I LOVED Kick-ass!!! I didn't really think I would, but it surprised me!!! I want a second movie with just Hit-Girl. She was AMAZING!

I'll tell you why I'm not going.

Michael Cera.

Maybe the world finally realized he has no talent.

I don't know if I should say this, but I think it's always best to just be honest: I actually kind of like Michael Cera. I'm aware that he has no talent and he's pretty much just a waste of space, but I like him. I don't know why. I think he's cute. I'm so ashamed.
He just seems like a nice guy, so I can't hate him. I'm sorry.

I use it all the time too, but people usually don't have any idea what I'm talking about.
>:(

Tanking? Really? I thought it was getting generally positive reviews. Hmm. Well, my mister and I went and saw it for his birthday and neither of us is a hipster or a teenager and we liked it. Maybe people are just sick of seeing Michael Cera play himself? (Disclaimer: I don't care if Michael Cera plays himself. I'm the sort of nimrod who finds that sort of thing charming. Plus if he tried to play anything but himself, like a cannibal biker from the planet Venus, he'd still find a way to be self deprecatingly adorable and awkward in the process. "So like.. I eat brains. It's a thing, I know. But hey, on Venus, it's either you're eating brains or someone's eating your brain, you know?" *awkward laugh and then looks crushed when the female lead rolls her eyes and turns away*)
