On losing the ability to blog.

Feb 14, 2007 04:15

I've never been the most frequent blogger out there (god I hate using that as a verb so much), but this is about the tenth time I've considered starting a post and stopped, and I thought I'd do a "think about it while posting" thing as to why ( Read more... )

Ben,
You have an amazing group of friends. I know it's true that friendships come and go, but you have some very solid friendships there, I can even see that and I don't live there! They will be there for you, even after graduation. Perhaps not living in the same house/apartment complex, but that's a really good group of guys, they'll be there when you need them.

And, I'm your sister, you will always have me no matter what, rain or shine, happy or sad, whatever. You are my brother and my friend, and that will never change. I love you!
Cindy

It's hard to blog about personal stuff. I wish I could help shed some illumination on your final ponderings but since I'm currently in the same boat minus ever having someone at all.

I have it after a great deal of friend-related-abandonment in my formative years and it isn't all that greaat. Yeah, it's nice to not be desperate for company, and being alone can be peaceful and nice, but overall, it kinda sucks. I wouldn't recommend it, particularly not if you're as used to company as you are. Good luck to you!

oh, also, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT THE SONG OF ICE AND FIRE HAS ANOTHER BOOK TO GO!! I finished! It was great! When is the next book coming out!! MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO ARYA AND BRAN AND JON AND DANY!!

Just keep trucking.

You *will* do fine. Don't worry about it, just do what feels right and you'll get there.

And stoppit with the inferiority thing, you're building great work experience at altoris and you're much more in tune with unix than you used to be... don't try to race against the entire cumulative technical knowledge of the channel, just race yourself.
