I need to bake something for the family birthday thing tomorrow. I opened my American sweets cookbook and chose this one.

Oooh, and InternetGuy called me at work. I left early and got to ride home with him, and he fixed my wlan in 15 minutes. I'm on my own internet:D It even works and I can send emails again:D

I had no idea they were American either. We get them here in New Zealand.

My book says they are from New England. The name sounds American to me too.

How cool! Is it just you or a whole class? What made you want to learn it?

Just me... I don't even know if there are high schools that offer it in the US, and only a few colleges.

They basically told me I could take it as an official class if I found someone qualified and willing to teach me, found and purchased my own materials, and filled out a bunch of paperwork.

And one of my former Spanish teachers once claimed to know English, Spanish, French, Latin, Italian, Norwegian, and Polish with what I presume are varying degrees of fluency...

As for why... good question. :D I've just been in love with it since I heard "Vi Er Ett" (from the Lion King II) and realized the ugly 'g's were often silent...
