i am an anti-capitalist, socialist, pro-choice american. i work with teenagers at planned parenthood federation of america. you might have heard of it during your exchange.
i am thinking about immigrating to scandinavia in the future, because i don't think that i will ever be happy with my country's political and economical systems.

How cool. A friend of my hostmom worked with planned parenthood (when I was living in Seattle). I like what they do. I even got to come with her to DC for a conference (as the nanny of her 5-month-old).
i just applied for a conference in washington d.c. with two of my co-workers. it's called young leaders summit, and it's for all of the peer educators across the u.s. we find out if we get to go on the 4th.

We are many Scandinavians here on LJ, but we almost all post and comment in English. I'm contacting you to try to gather us in a strong and lively Scandinavian speaking milieu, where we can get beta readers for fanfics in our mother tongue, squee over Scandinavian events and cons (not just stare in envy at our American friends' posts from AWA...) and so on. (How I found you: I searched for Norwegians by hitting "Norwegian" in my profile. The list is then sorted by recent updates and you have posted recently. I then had a look at your profile and journal, saw that you were active in fandom and thought that you would possibly be open for an invitation. I hope I wasn't totally amiss. :)
