[Kdrama] Sungkyunkwan Scandal (SKKS) so addicting!! ARGH!
I'm supposed to be finishing off my Mental Health assignment before I start my official clinical placement tomorrow afternoon, however I'm getting SO distracted with SKKS!!! This drama is just SO ADDICTING!! It's so hard to control myself and not surf around looking for more spoilers for tomorrow and Tuesday's episodes!!
Thanks to the SKKS translators on soompi forum, the soft subs to Sungkyunkwan Scanadal Ep 14 are finally out!! Our poor Lee Sun Joo (LSJ a.k.a 'Garang' - actor Park 'Micky' Yoochun). He's so tormented about his feelings for Kim Yoon Shik (KYS a.k.a 'Demul' - actress Park Minyoung). He's in so much turmoil about his romantic feelings for his best friend who is "male" (poor man is the only one in their group of 4 who doesn't know that that 'Daemul' is actually a female xDD;;;), the poor thing looks so pitiful. It doesn't help that there's the rumors about Moon Jae Shin & Kim Yoon Shik being in a "gay" relationship. But then, his shocking confession at the end of this episode sure blew me over!!
Then there's the preview for tomorrow's episode "I like you, Kim Yoon Shik".....OMG he's finally admitted his homosexual attraction towards his friend....then there's also these other lines which are killing me!!...."No matter how hard I try, I can't stop myself from seeking you out. Run away from me Kim Yoon Shik".......Kyaaaaa!!! xDDDDDD I love how they added sound effects to Yoochun's voice in these lines!
Okay so the tomorrow there's the waterfall scene where he finally find out that Kim Yoon Shik is actually female!! Wonder if he's gonna be pissed and angry for the deception like Hankyul in "Coffee Prince" or will he be estatic. I can't wait to see his facial reaction! Too bad it seems there's no kiss scene. (Darn it! This scene was so sensual in the novel!! GRRRRR! Darn! I want to see a kiss scene between Yoochun & Minyoung!! I love them together!) But then considering how innocent a drama this seems and how much of a gentleman Lee Soon Joo is in this drama version, I think a slightly romantic and innocent kiss will more likely be used in this drama! Damn! -_-;; but I gotta admit that type of soft & tender kiss would suit this couple better. BUT at least a kiss where their lips meet and there's actually some mouth movement, not just those stupid touch the lips things that's so prominent in some kdramas. (PD-nim, please remember Yoochun's wish about his kiss scene. Heck having a hotter kiss scene will definitely boost up those ratings!!! Something like his co-star's Song Joong Ki's kiss scene in his movie. Oh my, Joongki sure can kiss despite his innocent boyish looks xD)
Anyway Yoonhee is such a lovable and bright character and Sunjoo, the way he confessed to Yoonshik/Yoonhee in the preview, it wa so sincere, like boy confessing his feelings to his first crush/first love. Awwwww!
Anyway since it seems there's no kiss in the waterfall scene, when Sondool locks them in the cabin, I sure hope Yoonhee ends up rolling over the divider blanket Sunjoo placed in the middle of their bedding and she ends up really close to Sunjoo, and Garang will be unable to control himself this time rounf and finally gets to steal a kiss from those lips he had been fantasizing about for so long!!! Kyaaa! He was so close when they got stranded in the island, his face was just 1cm away from hers. The closeness of their faces during that scene was such torture!! Come on LSJ, be a man!
Also I wonder when professor Jung will take these Jalgeum quartet to the King so that they can finally investigate the book that'll implicate Lee Soon Joo's father, the war minister and the Noron faction for the death the King's father and what also lead to the death of Moon Jae Shin & Kim Yoon Shik's brother and father. Okay, so after the 16th episode on Tuesday, I wonder how they will settle this considering that LSJ's dad is related to Yoon Hee (a.k.a Kim Yoon Shik)'s father's death, and if both parties know about this, I wonder how their relationship will progress. I think there will be opposition from their parent's as well!
After this week there's only 4 episodes left to conclude the entire story and there's still HBS (Moon Jae Shin's alter ego), Chosun and her working for the War Minister and her feelings for Kim Yoon Shik, the book that the King wants to find and the deaths of the previous King and the MJS & KYS's family members. I'm a quite disappointed that they didn't really give us a proper background story to Yeorim either!! But I hope there might be some more "bromance" between him and Moon Jaeshin to make up for this!! Sure MJS's heart will break once Sunjoo and Yoonhee are a couple, but Yeorim's still there!! Come on KBS, give us a bit more of BL treats in exchange for the delicious scenes which did not make it into the drama version of this story!!
Edit: Just saw that interview with Song Jong Ki (actor for Yeorim/Gong Yong Ha) where he mentioned that his co-actor's (Yoo Ah In actor for Moon Jae Shin) lips look sexy!! xDDD Kyaaaa! How I wish the scriptwriters would add that kiss scene in the book where Yongha plays around and kisses his best friend Jaeshin and Sondool and Yoonhee are scadalised when they see it! xDDD Also loved that scene in the book where Yongha tells Jaeshin to get into position so that they can show Sunjoon how the Tiger Crawl sex position should be done. xDDDD!!!! Priceless!!
Well at least they didn't write in Yongha having a wife in this drama version and they did make him say in some episode that he had a sexual interest in his friend Jaeshin mwhahahahaha!! Thanks scriptwriters!! I am so definitely buying the DVD boxset of this once the pre-orders are ready. Hopefully the Korean version will have English subtitles to it and the there will be a special edition where there's the behind the scenes + NGs dvd and also booklets/postcards with photos of the cast!! Actually I also want to get that special photobook & DVD that only focuses on Yoochun on SKKS which Avex Japan is releasing this November. Will have to get the deputy service to purchase that for me. 7,000+yen and it doesn't even feature the other cast members...what a rip off...but I'm kinda addicted to Yoochun right now...^^;;;;
As for my interest in anime/seiyuu/manga/jpop(ARASHI)/nico nico uttatemita....I think I'll stick with learnig more about the korean entertainment industry this time round. Kdramas are tons of fun and there's nothing to watch on TV here in Oz. (can't be bothered paying for cable cause i don't have time to watch them and cable channels here are kind crap anyway) I think I'll add learning a bit of the Korean language itself. (..not that I've even improved in my Japanese at all -_-;;;) At least that way, I won't end up spending too much money on my Japanese interests when I head over to Japan this December. It's especially painful on the wallet when one is following an anime/manga fandom and the places you hang around have tons of doujinshi. But then again I was able to hold myself back last year and I did not buy a single doujinshi, however I wasn't in any fandom during that time, so yeah. Anyway it's good to have a new addiction, however this is quite disastrous with studies -_-;;;;
On another note....twin sister's co-workers are so fun! We hung out with them last night and the birthday celebrant was soo witty and fun...and he was pleasing to the eyes too xDD I'm quite sure he was drunk by the time we were about to leave as he even lifted each of us up and did a little twirl. (Can't wait to hear his reaction when sis tell's him about his drunken actions tomorrow..mwahahaha! That was quite uncharacteristic is him^^;) Kinda feaked me a bit cause it's been more than a decade since anyone's lifted me off the ground...(he was pretty tall too...darn my short height)...but nontheless it was actually quite fun. Darn kdramas and their piggyback scenes. Actually I prefer piggybacks cause they're more comfortable! I wonder why western society had never caught onto this and they're always using the "himme-dakko" type of hold which overly strains your back and arms^^;;
