This is a funny little piece that tickled my funnybone. It came via Flushing Presbyterian Church newsletter, and I thought I'd share because it shows in a funny way that the Bible is full of real people, not perfect people. I also made a couple of additions myself ( Read more... )

It definitely is. It works to get people thinking of them as real people, just like you and me, rather than putting them up on pedestals as saints of the faith. Doing the latter often means that then we don't even have to try and live out our faith because we can never be like the "saints." When you realize the saints or patrons of the faith were just human beings, it gives you a whole other way of looking at your own life.
