As some of you know, I did a little bit of live gaming with hubby's group here in Louisville. They hadn't played any Amber at all and wanted to, so I ran them through a simple two-part idea I've had for a con game. Had a ball. So you need a system that is diceless or could be made diceless. I have to admit, karen, that most systems do have a randomizer of some sort, although there are systems much lighter than others on that front.

I don't speak the lingo as well as others, but you'd need to decide what you want the game/system to do--what is the game supposed to do, and find a system based on that.

The kinds of games you get from, say, GURPS, are not usually the same you get from using a system like Nobilis, or Feng Shui, or Fudge/Fate, or Dogs in the Vineyard, or Heroquest, or... you get the idea.
