Cool! Sounds like a good time. Of course, 101 degrees racing in the hot sun isn't quite my cup of tea, but I get the gist. So now I can say, "this friend of mine who races." :-).

I'm not sure - another 5 or 6 races? 4 at least. I'd like to make a legitimate placing before I request it, at least, and it might not make sense to force myself into the upgrade until I can settle back into regular training.(After kiddo 2 is what, 18?) :)

Okay. We'll see how it goes with the rest of the crits and Chappel Hill and stuff. I'm really hoping that you'll be able to continue your morning & occational afternoon rides after the baby is born. We'll see... I think it will depend on how easy of a sleeper the baby is and how fast I recover from pregnancy and labor.

Oh, this is inspiring me to make a picture book for Matthew. (The question, do I write it "See David." or "See Dad."

HNH is just a stupidity ride. I've done it. Once. Found out that the route isn't fantastic, the race portion isn't much fun, and it's travel I really don't need right now. Then add the fact that someone put the thing in the middle of Texas in August...

But that's the best part! Of course, I would probably die a quick and miserable death after mile 5 or 6...
