A few good points lost, and counting...

After 2 days of waiting and waiting, finally it's been confirmed a few hours ago. Two of my relatives, Jehan and Adin were killed in the tsunami waves that hit this part of Asia. I was very much surprised actually, I had knew them to be fighters, survivors. I guess they simply didn't have enough time to make haste from there. Apparently on that day ( Read more... )

Sorry man, that comment wound up on the wrong journal, I apologise if it sounded odd, I must have clicked to add to yours by mistake, but I deleted it...sorry again...

but after reading your entry, I will just say that I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. None of this mess has been fair, and I only hope the people most effected by this can somehow move on and get their lives back in order...my hopes and wishes go out to all of them...

...and thanks Gowri for pointing out my callousness, I didn't mean anything by "moving on" except that I hope the people can move forward, maybe start to rebuild. Of course I don't expect them to just move on and forget about it, the loss of life has been grotesque and this will be remembered for a long time. I only hope that those who have lost loved ones will heal and get better with time, and I hope the property damages can be repaired as quickly as possible. I know I'm just some ignorant white dumbass living in America, and none of this effects me directly, but that doesn't mean I don't feel for those who have lost, and I only hope their pain can heal as quickly as possible, if it is indeed possible at all...

yeah Derek, I totally understood what you say. But despite what Gowri said, you are somehow right. Moving on is the ONLY way to be, and stay alive. Sure, no one could forget such things. But I know you're not asking them to. I with you bro. Moving on seems like the only good idea now, while keeping whatever memories left of the tragedy and try to learn something from it. And many thanks to you lot for the thoughts. I know I'm feeling better. Trillions of thanks peeps :D
