Using PSP8
Step one:
okay. so first you start off with your base image, crop it, and sharpen it. i actually didnt adjust the contrast or anything, yet.

step 2:
next, duplicate your base, and set the layer to "Screen" at 50%.

(yes, i know, washed out and stuff, but it will look better, i swear!)
step 3:
then, i used one of my favorite gradients, that i made that goes from ##171B3E in the top left to #02142A in the bottom right. set that layer to "Exclusion", and leave it at 100% opacity.

step 4:
then we are going to go back and duplicate your base again. drag it to the top of your layer palette. then desaturate it, and set it to "Softlight" at 44%.

then you are going to take this "scribble brush" (by unknown, sorry!) in #504D48. and place it on the left side of your image. yes, i know we are covering that beautiful, beautiful man's face.

next, i took another gradient i made that goes from #75280E in the top left to #26121B in the bottom right, and i set it to "Lighten" at 100%.

next i took a gorgeous light texture (by unknown, again, sorry!) and set it to "Screen" at 100%

step 8: next i made a new layer and filled it with #C0C0C0 and set it to "Burn" at 100%

step 9: next i made a new layer, and took a panic! lyric brush (god, i suck at remember who things are by, sorry again. you want credit? just tell me) and put it on the left side of the icon in #B9DDBA.

finally, i made a new layer and took a border brush that i have had for years (and thus, cannot credit, for the name was lost) and put it on the icon in #262610
