Oh, that is truly one of the worst smells ever. I had a mouse infestation in my first apartment and I don't think I've fully recovered yet. One thing I learned: my boyfriend at the time read in Maxim (of all places) that mice hate the smell of peppermint. So, I soaked cotton balls in peppermint extract and stuffed them in the heating vents. No more mice! And so much better than glue traps.

Of course, that doesn't solve the dead mouse smell. UGHHHH.

Ew. You're not alone in having had a mouse. And the mouse part doesn't bother me as much as the dead mouse. I hope the smell goes away fast.
