Yes, we are dumb creatures
Quote the website: "If you were both alone at his place one night, and you excused yourself to the bathroom and came out naked and asked him to have sex with you would he: 1. Tell you he doesn't want to risk the beautiful friendship you have created with messy physical entanglements. 2. Comply."
With pretty much any of my friends, I'd select choice 2, except with the girls I'm not attracted to.
This doesn't mean I go around pining for my female friends that I think are hot. I have plenty of female friends (more than the average guy I think) and I wouldn't consider making a move because we're better as friends. But if one female-friend who is cute wants some casual sex one night, I'd have to jump onboard. Is that so wrong? My outlook on sex is just really casual, though. So maybe I don't represent the average guy.
I think it's totally acceptable and normal to have friends of the opposite sex without there being sexual tension. However, if sex is offered by the female, then it becomes an issue.
I'm not sure if I understand why we're discussing a web page that states, at the bottom in big letters, that it's part of the Stupidness Network. I'm going to start a site that says, "Men are only interested in crazy, psycho-bitch women". :)
But now that we've started it, I'll say that there are very few of my male friends I wouldn't sleep with. I might feel weird about it later, but Mark's scenario of his female friend appearing naked is slightly indicative of what would encourage me: if a guy friend and I went to a party or went out to shoot pool, and we maybe had a few drinks, and he all of a sudden started coming on to me and getting jealous if I looked at other guys and then, later that night, made a move on me, I'd go for it.
Which is indicative of that other famous email forward. "To impress women, simply do each of these three-hundred complicated activities, in exactly the right order. If you fail at one of them, go back to the beginning and start over. To impress a man, show up naked. Bring beer."
