HOW THE HELL DOES THE GOVERNMENT FIGURE THAT MY DAD AND STEP MOM (WHO GOT MARRIED THIS SUMMER) CAN GIVE ME 20% OF THEIR TOTAL YEARLY INCOME FOR SCHOOL NEXT YEAR? HOW?

now i probably won't qualify for subsidized loans and all the other stuff i desperately need to keep attending school.

i hate the fafsa.

That's really just fucked up.

(PS How do you find out how much money, if any, the government is willing to give you? I did the FAFSA, and I know they received it, but that's all I've heard.)

at the end, if you do it online, they tell you what your estimated expected family contribution is. I won't know what they can give me or awhile still, but I know it won't be much, because the efc is about equal to the estimated tuition costs.

um, okay. I'm doing nothing but studying today and tomorrow, probably sleeping weird hours so call anytime. Tues, wed and thrus I have finals at 8am, and wed I work after that. so, call whenever, except after 9pm on mon, tues, or wed, and I will try to be near the phone.
