549: Anime Conji!
Looks like it was this con's first year, so there weren't many people and the venue was beyond tiny. But it was fun!
Went down to Diana's house late Friday evening (to avoid traffic) and got there in time to go to sleep, harhar.
We didn't take very many pictures on this day, and spent most of the time in line for reg and getting commissions for Roy's fanart book thingy
I don't know how many of you know of the Kogi truck, but it's super spicy Korean BBQ tacos. In San Diego they have the Kobe truck:

I never got around to making that Avatar post in this journal, but this is what we looked like! (agh;ash I love how Yue turned out, it's so ridiculous)
Theeeeen it got late so we changed! And played Pocket Fighter! (And I wore braids under my wig like an idiot and I just needed to take off the thing so my braids would stop crushing my head)
This guy! We love this guy! He did the BEST Roy/Maes drawing for Roy's OTP book so we just kept bothering him. He also did a Firefly commission for us too.
FUCKS WOOOO lulz no.
So Friday was Diana's birthday, but we got there super late so we went out to dinner on Saturday for it. BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER HNNNNNNNG. Anyway, this sign was outside and we obviously read it wrong.
THEN I SLEPT FOR A VERY LONG TIME~
Sunday, we were total asshats. While planning what to wear for the con, Diana was saying she was thinking of wearing Weeaboo!Greece to go with my Japan costume, but Japan is very hard to wear since it's not made out of cotton. But, with that in mind, I suggested to the husbands that we wear our yukata because we like them. But we still wanted to BE someone. I DON'T KNOW HOW but they suggested we do Kingdom Hearts, because I bought a Roxas wig and they had a short blonde wig and a long pink wig. So we were going to do Roxas/Larxene/Marluxia. Buuuut we couldn't get the wig we had to really do the Larxene thing and were going to ask Diana for help with it, or, harhar, just borrow her Axel wig.
THE RESULT:
I'M IN HEAVEN ALL DAY.
AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ♥ They don't even freakin' know this fandom, but the husbands fake it just for me~
Also, Diana styled my wig in, like, 5 minutes because she's AWESOME. So very awesome.

So there was apparently something on the program called "Dancing Maids" or something like that, and we got there in time to catch them doing the Love and Joy dance (which I happen to know) so we dance along at the back of the pavilion as best we can.
I am apparently the only person who has ever seen the FULL Haruhi dance (rather than just the TV edit version), so when they did that, I was the only one in the room doing some of the parts they didn't know. So they made me come up to the stage and do it with them. (IN A YUKATA. WTFFFF) Then, suddenly, they were pulling me up there for whatever the fuck. This is when a maid wanted to sing Popular at someone. (at one point, I was sort of singing along because I can't help it, and she just gave me the mic so I took off with it. I gave it back before the end of the verse, cause I'm not that much of an asshole)
But dancing + yukatas = LOOSE OBI AND NAKED TIMEZ
And this nice girl came over to recruit us to join the dancing maid brigade because... well, we dance.
Okay, back to me squeeing about our awesome:
