Farscape John/Aeryn s1 picspam aka How could I forget the awesomeness that's John/Aeryn?!?
Some of my awesome Twitter friends convinced me (read that as 'pushed me' :^p) to write a Farscape/SGA fic.
Because it's been ages since I've seen Farscape, I've decided to watch the entire thing again.
And OMG!!!!!!!!!!! How could I forget how absolutely awesome it was?!?
I'm not just talking about John/Aeryn here, because their awesomeness is on a whole other level.
No, I'm simply saying how awesome Farscape is as a show on itself.
So far I've only rewatched season 1, but OMG!!!! It blew me away.
For one: The main actor, the dude who's always supposed to be tough and be a real man... He cries!!!! He frelling cries!!!!! And not just that, he looses his patience several times, he has sort of a mental breakdown, he does some ugly things,...
Here, ladies and gentleman, we have a real person. Not some godlike warrior who appears undefeatable, but a real man! A man who has a good side, but also a very ugly side. Someone who will show emotion when it all gets too much. Someone who will fight for his friends, not because he's the hero, but because it's the right thing to do. No matter how much they all distrust and annoy him.
Onto the awesomeness that's John/Aeryn!!
A lot of shows that were and are on TV can learn a lot from how these two are written.
There's this chemistry between them that's there from the first moment they lay eyes on each other. And after that, even in just the first season, we get it all:
- jealous looks
- angst
- worried looks
- OMGOMGOMG we're so going to die, let's kiss and have hot sex before that happens
- getting interrupted by their friends
- OMGOMGOMGOMG, we can only trust each other, let's kiss and have hot sex (just wish they would have shown that hot sex)
- awkward moments
- SQUEEEEEEE!!! moments
- chemistry killing my screen!
- funny sunglasses
- I'm playing your superior and you better act like it
- absolutely adorable moments that just make you grin
- humor
- language!fun
- mistrust
- denial
- cuteness
- eye!sex
- I want to kiss you, but I'm afraid you'll kick my ass, so I'd better not!
- ship is shaking badly, so let's hold on to each other... and then fall on top of each other
- I need to fix something on the ceiling, so I'm using your shoulders to sit on
- OMGOMGOMGOMG, you're gonna die!!! I don't want to loose you, so I'm gonna try something that'll prolly get me killed too
- ...
I could go on for a while... I tried to capture it all in the picspam, but pics don't always say that much.
Also, HUGE file is HUGE!!
And yes, I know that last quote is technically from s2, so you'll prolly see it again in that picspam, but it was sooooooooo cute!!!
