Help us get rid of this pedophile website!

Apr 14, 2007 22:01

I went to this website and it is disgusting. It talks about pedophilia as a sexual "orientation" and talks about how sad it is for the people who's families were not supportive of them "coming out." Children do not have the abilities to decipher intimate love and sexuality- their brains are still developing, so any adult who is in love with a child ( Read more... )

This reminds me of a website an ex pointed out to me a couple of years ago. A cheerleader coach, she was understandably upset and disturbed to find images of her students (well below the age of 18) on this site, which claimied itself to be a launching pad to modeling angencies and the like. It was disturbing as hell.

Any chance of reporting that LJ user? She sure isn't vague in her comments, which hopefully aren't true... but it's a sick world.

How can I report her?

I bet her comments ARE true. She's a member of that comment board on the other site and just happened to ask her fellow people to take a look at her LJ. I just can't believe she posts it in public. She claimed to leave out details because she doesn't "need anymore cops." Ugh.

Radiohead had it right with Karma Police. I'd love to get in on that... a little instant karma, just around the kneecaps mind you.

I wonder if this is a potential front by some law enforcement organization. It would be a great way to keep tabs on possible abusers via internet travelings and ip addresses. Wouldn't that be great? I'm sure (see "hope") it's being closely monitored at any rate, though my signature is up as well.

There is nothing normal about such an "orientation." It doesn't make you a misunderstood victim of society. It just makes you a sick monster.

As you know my past, that stuff just hits too close to home. Also considering using something as a pretty website to kind of bribe kids into it =o(

Exactly! It's horribly sad and I'm so glad you stood up and signed the petition. A woman told me the other day that she was victimized as a child, and then said she didn't think it was "that bad" because it was a cousin of hers, not an adult. We quickly took care of that myth! Anytime anyone is violated, it's a horrible offense that can hurt a person emotionally and physically. It is NEVER ok, no matter who is offending the child.

I'm so proud of you for being able to admit to what happened, because so many people are ashamed and think it's their fault. I'm sure sometimes you have felt that way, but this is part of the path to healing.

And I agree with you completely about the site- it does seem to talk girls into it!

freedom of speech does not apply when it tries to incite a person or people to break the law, or aid in someone breaking the law... This has got to cross the line somewhere...

Long Range Rifles are always a neat solution!

My thoughts exactly. It's all fun and games and "sexual orientation" until YOUR kid gets screwed by a grown up.

Wow, thats pretty mindblowing. I didn't know sites like that were allowed to exist, but apparently, the law is very flexible :|

A pedophile preyed on one of my sisters and coerced/manipulated her into doing sexual things with him (including sex) when she was just 12, and it went on for a few years until she said anything about it. The guy was actually a VERY good family friend, someone you'd absolutely never suspect. But the moral of the story is that you honestly cannot trust anyone with your children. They aren't safe from friends, and even family (as a lot of kids are molested by uncles, grandparents, even fathers). It's just really disgusting.

that's very true! I think the stats are that most rapes/coercions for sex are with people the victim knows well. Disgusting. And the thing is, most kids are too afraid and/or confused to talk about it or tell someone!
