it will never be easy again, we were all scamed into giving up easy for adulthood. I feel like i was on the path when the bulldozer came and now i am somewhere mixed in with the dirt longing for oxygen and hoping for peace

I think, quite honestly, that you need to stop fearing change. Life is change, it'll never stop changing, and instead of being so worried about things not being the way they used to be you need to embrace the changes and opportunities that will inevitably pop up wherever you turn. Stop fighting it. I've just recently learned how to stop fighting it and I feel awesome, driven, ambitious even. You know what direction I think you should go. If I might be really cheesy and quote Eminem:

Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
One moment--
Would you capture it, or just let it slip?

I do fear change, but not all change. Some changes are good and some are bad. It the EXTREME changes that scare me. Like when life gets turned upsidedown overnight. I feel like I've had more than my share of world tilting events and I'm just tired of feeling like I have no control over my life
