So, it's nearly midnight, which means Anton is nearly eight months old. He's had a big week. I think he's making some big steps forward, which is leaving him a bit crankier and inclined to longer naps than he has been previously. He's still wonderful, though. I have one word for you... ext_100439 July 25 2010, 11:08:52 UTC
Night flights. Our plane to Japan left at 11-something at night. Sean slept on the floor almost all the way, we had to wake him up for landing. Riona slept in her seat (Sean started in a seat but next time I woke up he was stretched on the floor). Granted ours was an 11 hour flight but they were asleep after about 2 hours. It was very pleasant.

Sure, that'd be great but night flights aren't always an option. On the way to the US there really aren't a lot of options. The way back should be better (thankfully). Also, we are too cheap to buy him his own seat before we have to.

Hoorah for Anton! Also, mmm, Cedar Tree. We must bring Arlo once he has become a bit more accustomed to the world of HUMAN FOOD. At the moment he still has a tendency to nom on stuff and then let it fall out of his mouth before stuffing it back in again (or flinging it to the floor). Delightful table manners...

You're going to be waiting a while...Anton does all that stuff still and I expect he will for a while. I mostly put the food directly in his mouth to cut down on mess and make him a little more publicly palatable. Sure, finger foods are good for him to play with but one night off so his parents can feel like they're participating in society won't make any difference in the long run.
