hurricane!

Hurricane Irene, or rather Tropical Storm Irene by the time it got to us, didn't turn out to be much of a problem at all in Boston proper. There were high winds, there was rain, but nothing too dramatic. We have a rather large tree in the backyard and a branch came off, but it fell into the neighbors' yard. I love that you both laugh about the a/c situation. I'd love to have you as neighbors. Don't get me wrong, my current downstairs neighbors are fine people, and it is so wonderful that their son and Arthur get along so well. But your style of housekeeping is much more in keeping with ours, so I know that if we had a similar a/c incident there would be much Silent Judging going on.

I did try and convince T to go out and clean it up that night, in the rain, to avoid The Shame the next day. But honestly, I don't even think anyone's noticed, since it's down the side of the house, kinda tucked into a corner almost.

I am sure that if anyone has noticed, there is much judging. Last week I let a neighbor kid come borrow a (dartless) Nerf *GUN* from our house so I think his parents have probably already downgraded us.
