It's a trial and error method of locomotion: frequently he rolls over to find he didn't end up where he wanted to be, so he rolls back, wiggles a little to mess with the angle, and tries again. I don't read enough books these days. It started way back in the first trimester of my pregnancy, when I was constantly queasy and couldn't concentrate on anything. I took to watching television or many many DVDs because I couldn't muster the focus needed for a book. a big week
So yesterday was Anton's six-month birthday, as well as mine & T's 15-year relationship-iversary. Tomorrow is actually our tenth wedding anniversary as well. MUNICH
So it's settled, our summer adventure, date TBA, will be happening in Munich. I just got the IM confirming. We're going to be meeting up with a several friends, including zekejojo and I am STOKED. RAWR BABY redux
Anton had his first rice cereal today. That crap is little more than barely thickened milk, but he went after it like it was the best thing he'd ever tasted. Although I suppose it very well could be, since it's the only thing he's ever tasted that wasn't breast milk or accidently swallowed bathwater. Basically it was his usual milk, NOW with MORE.

Last week I was walking along Stoneybatter and noticed some graffiti on a phone booth reading "out N----R [nasty racial epithet I can't stomach typing out]" in heavy black Sharpie. One of the more entertaining things I've done recently: loaded the baby into a wrap and walked through Cabra West. Lots and lots of weird looks, and I got actually stopped by a pack of approximately ten-year-old girls who asked me many questions about the baby, the dog, America, and the way I was carrying the baby, including "What would you do if ( Read more... ) -
It's a big day, kids
This afternoon I burped, and Anton laughed. AWESOME. Soon T's prissy squeamishness over adults burping (in their own homes, for God's sake) will be squashed in favor of baby comedy. -
life is better in a lighthouse
So our lighthouse trip was FANTASTIC. The houses we rented were lovely, the caretaker who let us in was a bit of a character, the weather was absolute perfection, the scenery was amazing, and our friends rock.
