I prefer the non-skirted sectional for practical reasons as well. Our sectional has that magical microfiber fabric, and it really is perfect for kids and pets. Although I like the 3rd style you posted best. I think you should definitely get the firm cushions, so that they last long term.

Sorry you're not in Hawaii. Boo!

So you have the magic fabric and like it? Do you know what brand your couch is? I was researching this kashmira fabric and other people called it Crypton. So I am imagining that its kind of like corian counters, or quartz countertops where its essentially the same thing, just has different names because its made by different manufacturers. Does yours feel like a thick suede? Do you think it was worth the extra money? $1500 seems like a lot (1/2 the cost of a couch with "normal" fabric) but at the same time you want it to last and i would HATE to buy a nice couch and in a few months have stains on it already that will not come out.

Do you see much of a difference in the last 2 couches? The only thing I can really see is the welting on the arm and the part where the skirt would be has an extra seam or something on the 2nd couch.

Sadly, I can't remember the brand of our sectional, and since it is in storage I can't look it up. I think the magic suede was called Crypton, and I have to tell you for us it has been totally worth it, especially since our sofa is a beige color. I have been able to wipe out baby spit-up, ink, wine, cat puke, food, etc. It *almost* beads up, and wipes off with baby wipe or damp cloth. It is very soft and you can just vacuum it to make it look fresh again. I can just roll off any pet hair.

I don't know why but the 3rd couch just appeals to me more, but it might be the throw pillows...HA!
