just a sec; let me get my tea

Namaste. Well, apparently I have been lax about updating. But my life is so un-interesting that I never feel like I have anything to say. Today is a very dreary day in Ashland, and it's the first of the rainy season, so I'm feeling lazy, tired, and generally discontent. So I'm a grumpy gerbil that doesn't wanna do anything, especially go spend ( Read more... )

Hey, glad to know you haven't fallen off the face of the Earth. :) Did you get my phone message? A tip for you, about the whole messiness/male laziness thing: don't take any shit from them. Sit them down and tell them that being slobs is unacceptable. Go buy a garbage can (they cost about $2, which is only 1 pound, so there you go). Tell them that instead of putting dishes in the sink, they should just put them directly in the dishwasher. Someone needs to take charge, and as they don't seem to want to, you'll have to. :) Hate to break it to you, but that's how it'll have to work. I know Chris M. is not a particularly tidy person, and he's just moved away from home. He's probably still used to having his mum clean up after him all the time, at least, in the kitchen. So, yeah, there's my 2p on the subject. :) I'll try calling you again sometime, and maybe I'll catch you with your phone actually on for a change! Love you! :*

I did get your phone message. Thank you for giving me a ring. I'm sorry I didn't pick up. And I don't even know when you called, my time, because my phone's screen is broken again! Just like last year, the fuckers. I thought this phone was supposed to work! Anyway, Chris P. cleans if I start to. He'll chip in and help, but he's just not tidy between weekly cleanings. Butter on the counter, things left on the floor. Just little things that are easy to take care of, but I feel like I'm always doing it. And I had a talk with him about putting dishes directly in the dishwasher, and he totally agreed, and it kinda happens, but for the most part they end up in the sink. And I mentioned rinsing dishes off, but that doesn't happen. It gets pretty gross. Oh well; maybe I'll have to put my foot down.

Oh, my, Kate! You -must- watch Firefly when you get back to the States. Is there a movie over there called "Serenity"? If so, watch it! It's the movie of this show; fantastic sci-fi! Anyway, off to school.

Great to hear what's new! Sorry about the constant mess. I can see how that would be frustrating. We should hang out this weekend, especially since I will finally have a weedend off!

We should. I might be busy Saturday afternoon/evening. But aside from that, I'm free. Maybe we can set something up.
