I'm not really sure why WE haven't talked lately, we did at the start of the year, and haven't in months. I miss keeping in touch with you!

My two cents:

I think you should tell this guy, I believe that at some point in a friendship between opposite sexes, there is a short window where each one likes the other. While these two windows do not always line up with each other, if this person is a good friend, it won't be weird. If that makes sense.......I'm not sure it does!

It depends. Fact is, it's going to be weird, at least for a while. No way of getting around it. However, I'd imagine that the eating inside of it not being out in the open would be worse, so go with weirdness. At least that'll pass.

I can't really tell you what you should do but I can say what I would do. I don't think I'd tell him. You could drop hints and flirt hardcore and he'll probably get the message. If he reciprocates, cool, if he doesn't, no skin off your back. That way you wont have put yourself in a completely vulnerable position. Of course, this is coming from a person who never has had any real success in the dating world. I'm sure it will work out in the end whatever you do.
