Narcissism vs. Networking

When it comes down to it, we're all narcissists to an extent. If you're reading this blog, you probably have a blog of your own. Which means you created a website so that you could talk about yourself. Which means that at least some part of you is an arrogant SOB

I agree! It can be way too easy to get me-me-me when blogging; while that's fine for some entries, it's good for there to be a balance, too. One way I do this is by turning my writing worries into commentary about things I love or find lacking in the genre, which often involves talking books/shows/movies others may have read/seen. It makes it easier for others to jump into the discussion that way!

I hope I'm not narcissistic on purpose. Actually this opened my eyes. I try to keep my posting about my writing and the writing process as a general rule. Now and then I may post something to help lift my mood. I don't know...
