haha. Dude I do remember what PPS stands for but I'm not going to write it on livejournal because it has to be kept a secret. I will give you a hint though, it has something to do with my/your??? favorite Lindas drink that only comes at a very special time of year. (It's not a lindas moCHa). Also three chords is band practice, and I have another 3 chords that we can use for a new song if we ever practice again. Next weekend?

And I'm glad you got and liked the postcard although it was mostly Nicks doing.

You're listening to tori! Good album, but you knew I'd say that. I haven't listened to her in ages actually, so caught up in my flatmates' wonderful selection of music. Been listening to a lot of Jeff Buckley (how did I miss him in the '90s?) and a Welsh folky rock band called Mim Twm Llai (Little Mim Twm, short for Meurig Tomos). He does amazing back-formation with his lyrics--one song goes "imdi ondo wbancrw" (eem-dee ond-o oo-ban-croo) = "dim ond crwban" (just a tortoise). The whole song goes on like that. It sounds amazing.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Gender biased are still happening around the world, even still in our own country. Making it into a joke does nothing to help solve the problem, in fact it often encourges others to turn it into a joke and sometimes even makes all the progress that has been made regress.

I do call out people who say gay, or use the word raped. They are both still not issues that have ceased in society, so making them into a joke does not seem appropriate.

A while ago I tried to watch Anchorman and had to turn it off. The terrible sexism in that movie is just sick. I loved Elf and I do enjoy Will Ferral but when the whole movie is spent making sexist jokes I just cannot support it.
